I would not be cool with it, and I think the staff knows better. Obviously not worth the risk. We need to find someone else to take that duty on.

How often do punt returners get injured? I can't think of it happening off hand. If we have a team pinned inside their 10 and he gives us a better chance of scoring on the next drive, how is it not an obvious choice?

What's the difference between asking him to get us 10 more yards on a pass play vs. 10 more yards on a punt return?

Absolutely not. Aside from the injury risk he is loose with the football.

So if he gets injured because of punt return. Then we look forward to Williams and Cole Beasley being the lead WR's?
