The problem with bringing in a veteran like Holt or Coles is that they would probably need to also play special teams, and most veteran wrs don't like to do that. I can't see Holt or Coles wanting to be on the coverage team.

Forget the Choice to SD trade, it wasn't official.

Why would we need to bring in a vet WR to help our young guys? Specifically who would this vet be helping? Austin? Williams? Crayton? Hurd? The only thing that would be accomplished by bringing in a vet WR would be forcing O-Tree to the practice squad where some team would sign him away from the Cowboys. No thanks.

No to Holt. I don't remember who the Jags were playing, maybe the Dolphins, this past season but Holt got behind a defender and caught a pass in stride and had clear sailing for a TD and he get caught from behind. There was no way Holt from 5 years ago gets caught like that.

No reason to bring in a progress stopper. Coles is done. And even the Bears are showing no interest in Holt even with Martz there now.

If the Raiders don't resign Janikowski I'd bring him in for a looksee not neccessarily sign him.

Holt will be a HOFer for sure...and here's some trivia...he was the NFL's leading receiver for the last decade.

But I see no benefit bringing him into into an already veteran group at this late stage of his career. If he wants to keep playing, I do hope someone picks him up though.

I'm would not be too thrilled with Coles either.

Torry Holt had a great career and he was a very productive receiver. His time is done. Coles has had his moments, but he was released as he wasn't giving a good bang for the buck. I agree with others that bringing in a WR is just a progress stopper on a very promising young WR group with the Cowboys.
