What was the fair contract he allegedly passed on? I don’t think that is currently off the table. It was probably a team friendly deal. I don’t see a problem going with Shultz/Ferguson/Hendershot/Mckeon next season. Plus another pick would be freed up for another player or trade.

For the right price I would love to have him back. The Cowboys could kick the "draft a TE fairly high" can down the road one year.

I'm not sure he would be willing to come back at the bargain basement price I would offer him though.

Hes a slow TE that can't block well and catches everything. Runs great y option routes to move the chains. But thats his limit.

Gesicki just got 9 million if incentives are met. Would not pay Schultz more. Not really in favor of him using the snaps, I'd rather see Ferguson and Hendershot.

I agree, Dallas only proven TE was Shultz. I would have franchised him as well since they could not reach an agreement. Yes you pay maybe more than you want but it also protects a team without locking them into a bad deal. Now we see there is something to work with in Ferguson and Hendershot making Shultz less of a priority
