Would you do this trade?

DISCLAIMER: This is not a rumor, just my crazy bored idea:

Doesn't make any sense for us to trade Choice to SD for Cromartie when we already have 3 good cbs. However, a third team could make things interesting. First off, as a disclaimer I'm not for trading Choice. However, this scenario involving Arizona would tickle my ears.
1) Dallas sends Choice to San Diego, who gets the RB they covet and need and fits their system
2) San Diego sends Cromartie to Arizona where AZ gets help in the secondary, the secondary that gave up 45 points last two games. (They'd also have two Cromarties)
3) Arizona sends WR Boldin to Dallas. Arizona finally gets rid of Boldin and his whining, Dallas gets another weapon to add to a suddenly lethal arsenal.

The reason this would make sense for reasons other than Boldin would be a major weapon to an offense one weapon away is that Boldin in 2005 (or 2006) signed a 6 year deal worth 23 million. Hence the reason he is crying about being underpaid. Obviously we can't just cut Roy Williams this year without owing him 26 million in guaranteed money. However, Boldin's contract as it stands wouldn't be that expensive and I'm sure Jerry could assure Boldin that he would get him a deal towards the end of the season. This season Roy can play it out behind Boldin if he gets injured. After next season, Roy W is cut and not owed any more money while his contract could be given to Boldin. Makes financial sense too for everyone, not to mention that all 3 are inhibited by the final 8 rule.
I think all parties would be enticed and benefit greatly.
Boldin and Austin.....yikes.
Thoughts?

No Boldin has knee issues and i believe within 2 years barber will be traded or cut unfortunately

Hasn't Boldin missed most of the Cardinals most important games the last few seasons? I hardly see the dude in Arizona's lineup anymore.

Eh...I would like it :laugh2:

I'd much rather just cut Barber and work from there, but that would be good I suppose.

I don't think either team would go for it though.

no, boldin is always dinged up and has had attitude problems towards management before. I like our young core. & RW if he can step up a little next year.

What tha?

Boldin is a whiner. That's his nature. He will always be a whiner.
He will want top billing, eventually, over Austin.

And that is not acceptable.

Boldin will be fine as long as there are no Dillards in Dallas. If there are Dillards in Dallas I would not do the deal.

Peter Warrick and Laveranues Coles were the Dillards shoppers. Boldin was roughly 4 years behind those two at FSU.

Agreed. Choice has been the healthiest of the RBs in Dallas. Wouldn't give him up for a w/ knee issues. Granted, when healthy, Boldin can be a monster, but... eh, its worth the loss of quality depth at RB

Then we'd have 3 wr's with huge contracts. The salary cap will be back and I don't see how we could fit those 3 contracts in to it.

As much as I like Boldin, I don't think we really need a top WR given Miles' production and Roy's contract. I'd keep Choice and grab a WR in the 2nd round.

The Cardinals should also send an undisclosed draft pick to Washington for Carlos Rogers.

The Cards nickel package would read:

Rogers - Rogers-Cromartie - Cromartie

Actually we wouldn't because Boldin's contract was only around 23 million for 6 years back in 2005 or 2006. He has to play one more year on that contract. Yes we owe Austin big money. Yes, Roy has 26 mil guaranteed this year. But after this next season, we'd be able to cut Roy without colossal loss and give Boldin Roy's current contract. Sure we'd have two big contracts for WRs but not three. I think Boldin would stop whining if Jerry promised him a payday was coming soon. And yes he gets injured a good bit, but we'd still have Roy for one more year if Boldin goes down again.
