Been crying for this since Glover retired. Lol
I’d love a player like Glover.

But that’s not what people have been crying for.

They’ve wanted a Hankins type of player.

I don’t see the value of this type of player in todays game.

Only thing giving me hope with Mazi Smith to be more than just a 2 down player is he tests off the charts athletically.

I’ve never understood what this forums fascination is for a 2 down run stuffer.

Dallas finally drafted one though so hopefully it has the impact that you guys somehow think it will.

The best run defense out there is putting points on the scoreboard.

The fascination is based on having a consistently crap run defense and ignoring the position. We've been soft up the middle for too long.

I also don't believe he's meant to simply be a " 2 down run stuffer."

I’ve never understood what this forums fascination is for a position that is one of the most fungible in football.

For me stuff the run and then on sure passing downs, get a inside pocket push don’t have to make the sack but just don’t let the QB get comfortable and your ends or blitzing LB gets home with all the discomfort by the pocket collapsing. Now that is what I am looking for.

I’m just asking.

Would you do this trade?

Would the Falcons or Lions do this trade or would they hang up on you?
you’re not making the point you think you are. would the falcons or lions trade bijan or gibbs for any pick made after 8 and 12 respectively? no so their judgement is not usable for an indictment

Exactly! The shelf life of being a RB in today's NFL is not worth any kind of long-term investment. Even the greatest RBs who ever played had maybe, what , 3-4 years of playing at an elite/MVP level? The majority of a RB's career is about surviving to get over the 1,000 yard hump. Even the great Emmitt Smith was not all that special after the 1995 season.
Fans just get caught up in the moment and right now Bijon is the flavor of the season. In a few seasons, no Cowboys fan is going to still be wanting Bijon over Mazi Smith.

Would you rather have 4 years of Zeke or 10 years of Hankins lol.

Who has the bigger impact on football games..

If it's so replaceable why have we struggled for long to find one? Quinns first year we had two vet DTs signed and both were washed. Then we got Bo and then Ridgeway. None of our supposed run stoppers have done anything.

I honestly believe the FO felt the same as you and just failed over and over.

They were waiting for a guy who also had the tools to get after the QB, and needed to be in the right place to justify taking him. The stars aligned at the position, for once. Hopefully it works out.

Would you trade Mazi Smith, Luke Schoonmaker, and Overshown…

For

Bijan Robinson

Or

Jahmyr Gibbs?
Are you serious? A trade like that would be absolutely absurd!
