Would you ever own a Cowboy jersey....

with your name on it. Not a current player or a legend but your name on the back.

We were bored at work and this topic came up.

I have mix emotions over the idea, but I tend to lean on the positive side of owning one.

What's your thoughts?

Wow, you must be bored.

I probably won't own one but I wouldn't throw it away if it were given to me. For sure I would never dream to judge someone if they owned one. What business would it be of mine?

I wouldn't purchase one for myself, but if I received a Cowboys jersey with my name on it as a gift, I'd definitely wear it, display it, be proud of it, etc. As if it were authentic.

Why not, eh?

I still have two authenic Aikman jerseys from the 94 and 95 season. One white and one blue...game jerseys. (not game worn).

I have these in a drawer and they have never been worn by me...I just have them. Why, I don't know.

Are they in the same drawer you keep your pool pee alert chemicals?

No, those are in a shed outside. Thanks for the concern, but don't let it keep you awake at night, OK big fella? :)

I got 2 Authentic Roy Williams jerseys. :banghead:

I got to do something with them. I'm too embarrased to hang it in my gameroom.

Take it to someone who can sew and have them tear one of the 1's off of one of the jerseys, the 3 off the other and transplant the spare one to the jersey missing the 3. then you have a Roy (WR) Jersey.

Not That There's Anything Wrong With That.

Cool, thanks! I'm not puter literate. Actually, I'm noit literate at all, come to think of it!!

I own one with my last name and the year I became a Cowboy fan (77). But when I go to see them play - I'll wear either my Tony Dorsett or Emmitt Smith jersey. About a month ago I finally broke down and bought a blue Witten and Romo jersey - so I'll have to wear one of those when I go to Denver to see them play this year. Still need to get me an Aikman and Staubach jersey one of these days.

I would own one. You guys never would know though, as my last name is Jones. :D

I personally would not. I always laugh when you see those guys walking around the parking lot with a jersey that says, #00 BUBBA!

Bill Bates and Walt Garrison are my two all-time favorite Cowboys...

I'm serious about that, and yes, I know it's kind of weird... I've just always had a soft spot for the relatively unathletic overachiever, perhaps because I was one my own self...

In some interviews with Bates that i've seen in the past, he's always seem to be honored to have had the opportunity to wear the star. He said in a video once "I've been living a 15 year dream". I really love that attitude, I wish these young punks today, that have a since of intitlement, had more of Bill Bates attitude toward the blessing that they have of being a professional athlete.

I own an authentic blue jersey with my last name on it. #28 "Kram"

Same as my high school jersey.

I have no problems with it and I'm totally not ashamed. I will ALWAYS be a Cowboy so my name will never go bad.

I still own Aikman/Irvin/Smith/Woodson/Sanders and Romo/Witten/Ware/Barber Jersey's.

I wear my personal Jersey during the Bye week and Pre-season. I wear my legends jersey's during games on days that the Cowboys arn't playing. And I wear my current roster jersey's depending on who I feel I need to see the most from in that particular game. It's part of my Football Rituals ^_^

It wouldn't work for me.

I got a Blue jersey and a old school (the one with the 2 "BIG" stars on the shoulders) Jersey. The #'s on the sleeves are different.

Nah. Something about wearing a Cowboys team jersey skives me out. Hence my lack of owning anything more than a few team hats and shirts. I'm a little more subdued when it comes to that kind of stuff.

I'm the same way with my Lakers & Dodgers. Hats & shirts only... (mostly t-shirts)
