Would you favor changing points scored TD, FG, etc?

I know the likelihood is remote because of tradition, but who cares about watching field goals decide so many games? Reduce field goals to one point and half points for extra points? Or increase TD points to 12 points and 2pt conversion to 4 pts? You could also increase a safety to 4 pts in that case.

I would rather more incentive to get aggressive in actually scoring TDs than kicking a field goal and strutting around. What say you?

Your ideas are beyond my brain capacity right now.

I do think the extra point needs to be eliminated somehow...it's a waste of time. If the league wants to hang it's hat on rest for players and/or commercial use...just extend commercial breaks.

Make extra point 45 yards, teams have ability to make up for it with a two point play later.

There is no suspence with the extra point...get rid of it.

I'm for getting rid of kickoffs too. Punts are fine...kickoffs...boring in today's nfl.

3 points, 6 points, 1 point and 2 points works math wise for the flow of NFL games. Just make the 1 point 45 yards.

I think the scoring is fine as is, XP’s aren’t automatic anymore. I don’t like the kickoff rules or onside kicks though. There is no reason to have 12pt TD’s or half-point extra points. Doubling or halving scores would seriously skew the statistics for past comparisons.

I’m saying who cares about stat comparisons? You could just do TD and yards comparisons for those that want to compare.

Lots of gameplay decisions are based on this. I would much rather see aggressiveness than passiveness. If you suck at scoring TDs, then my method encourages you to figure out how to not suck. 3 points is too many points(vs TDs) for some guy to go out and kick the ball through the up-rights (it increases the importance of the kicker and who cares that much about that player).

I can’t watch the NBA now because of analytics based gameplay where you must shoot x number of 3 pointers to stay in the game. And there are basically specialists on many teams that are terrible off the dribble but can stand in one spot and hit a kick out three 1/3 times.

Most of the post up game and off the dribble plays have reduced value-but those are the most exciting plays. The league should want to incentivize those plays. Do away with the the point line.

I got run off of Mavs message boards foe the same opinion...

Basically, I was crucified for claiming Luka-ball(analytics based offense) was extremely boring to watch...and that you needed good, two way ball players...not specialists to win in playoffs.

Mavs tried with a bunch of lousy ball players from 2020 to 2023 and it didn't work.

Luka is Godly, best offensive player ever based on his deep bag of skills...but today's Mavericks are more fun to watch. Transition basketball, faster pace is the way the NBA should go.

I will say that I do miss some of that beautiful offense that Luka and analytics produced with the Mavs...I just prefer the ball moving around more than one guy dribbling for 20 seconds.

I would be in favor since it doesn't mess up the flow of games...

If the kicks became frequently made...it would force teams to have to go for 2 point conversions more often...which I think is more exciting than extra points.
