ya im gonna have to agree, if it aint broke dont fix it. Zimmers improved so Im willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for now.twa said:You have a D that is coming together and with a few additions could be awsome...Why screw with it?

JTnNC said:Dont let the Head Coaching job Capers has done in Houston fool you. He is a amazing defensive coach. His 3-4's in Pittsburgh were always near the top in the league and when he was coaching the Panthers they set the all time expansion team win list. They were monsters on d. In fact it was that Panther d that probably stoped us from winning back to back super bowls twice in the 90's. We had already beat Green Bay once in 96 with a slew of field goals, we seemed to have their number at that time and they were the team we would have played in the NFC Championship game had we got past Carolina. It was not until Capers was given GM responsibilities in Carolina that things went sour for him there. AND in between his head coaching jobs in Carolina and Houston he made Jacksonville pretty respectful in his short time there.
This guy has a winning track record for putting good defenses on the field. He is very experienced in our defense and he might be looking for a job.
None of it really matters unless Zimmer moves up in the offseason anyway as Parcells will not get rid of him for anybody at this point.
