Would you just start the game with Henry at FS

I wouldn't. I'd make Winslow have to be used more as a blocker by bringing more blitz packages.

I'd rather they react to us than we react to them.

Might work for awhile but they use Winslow split out wide a high % of the time. They'll put their blocking TE in and put Winslow wide with either one or two WRs.

But we should do it anyway. Stops him some when he's not wide, hurries or sacks Anderson, and reduces total number of WRs out. And I'd hope we'd go more man to man.

I wouldn't be surprised if they used Henry on Winslow but they might put Adams or Newman on him as well. I'd be surprised if they didn't have to double up on him some.

Considering you have one of the top TE's in the league wouldn't it make sense just to start Henry this week at FS and just bring Roy in on running downs?

I like Roy but he can't handle Winslow.

First down after the opening kickoff IS a running down. Sorry but Roy will have to cover some this game. He's a safety.

No he won't. Winslow is like Welker in that they beat up 3rd or 4th best coverage guy in the secondary. You put Winslow on Roy and bad things would happen for the Cowboys, but Henry will greatly limit the amount of damage Winslow can do.

I like Dawkins on K2 but no so much Henry. Henry is the most physical of our CB's but Id rather even see Hamilin on K2. I just hope he is smart and goes low for those fragile knees and doesnt get stiff armed the ground.

Hope he has help in these packages as I dont the YAC potential from the matchup..

Hamstring, but I don't think it is going to keep him out of the game.

Yeah. I shoulda used "nicked up". It will affect his play, I'd imagine.........

Yes. I know my biggest fear is Kellen Winslow scoring on a 74 yard TD pass on the first play of the game.

QFT, didn't even see it the first time I went through this thread.

brownies have a very solid oline, couple that with jamal lewis... you really want henry out there on running downs against that?

It's not that great a running attack. Last year they were 10th in the NFL and feasted on weak-against-the-run defenses.

This isn't a power-running offense. They split Winslow out way too often leaving essentially 6 blockers & a back, which isn't a pound it down your throat type of formation.

good point but i still wouldnt be comfortable with henry out there playing safety on running downs. plus he's been so fragile, i just hope he can play all 16 games cause when he is healthy, he has played very well.

If we want to stop the run we should do what I used to do early in the Madden game history. Punt rush on first down. That always stopped the run and the pass! :laugh2:
