My worst mistake was leaving before grabbing a few bottles. Mr. Know-It-All (me lol) thought I could order as many as I wanted online. I told myself, "Well, they export Barcardi. Surely they ship John Watling from the islands." I will know better when my wife and I go on our next cruise there.

I did like the Bahamas. Considered staying, and just trying to make a meager living, selling pictures I'd paint on the beach.....but then I remembered I was on my honeymoon.

I would worry about a hurricane hitting it directly. Knowing me, I would try riding out the storm instead lol.

We're heading to Eleuthera Bahamas this spring and I'm hoping they have it on that island.

Agree, stay out of Austin, especially if you are looking for that Texas vibe. N/NW of SA is beautiful country, reminds me a bit of Cali.
