Henry Ruggs has 1 year in prison to get in the best shape (physically and mentally) he can possibly get. If he truly has learned his lesson and is willing to do whatever it takes to change and make things right both for the innocent victim's family and his, no matter how long it takes, he should be allow to be freed and prove he is a better and contributing-to-society man.

I mean I would. But I don't expect much from a guy who wasn't in the league long enough to develop and 5 years off. If he still has that elite 4.2 speed he might find himself somewhere in this league.

And what is a problem player?

To some fans, a player smoked a cigarette in high school and told his parents to stop harassing him about it. Some fans go ballistic over that stuff.
A team plays paintball to create cohesion amongst players. And some fans go ballistic, think the should be locked in the film room.

Would I? I mean, yes. If you've done your punishment, you should be allowed back into society and not be prevented from making a living. That's for sure. But that's now how many others see it.

Will they? You know how Jerry is. Anything is possible. But it's a ways off.

I personally think if you kill someone you should serve longer but once he is out yes i'd sit down with him. Once he has served his time he needs the same opportunity we all have to earn a living and earn a spot on a team if they feel he can be an asset to them.

I get 2nd chances, hell, Vick got one, but I'm not seeing the point here.

5 years, no injury or not, to be away from the NFL is a lot. Training or not, it's still prison.

He's still only 26. I'd offer him a workout.

if he looks decent, maybe onto the Practice Squad for the year to develop his conditioning,

then see what he has next season.

I mean, if the NFL & Giants can still parade lawrence taylor (registered sex offender) around, then I see nothing wrong with Ruggs getting a second chance.
