This isn't anything more than just for discussion, but with that being said would you trade for Revis? Here are some bullet points

- Trade compensation would be hefty

- He wants big, and I mean BIG bucks

- He is hands down the best CB in the game

- We have a major need at CB going into next year

With all of that being said, I am sure all of you guys would be interested if the price was right but what is that price (compensation wise, not salary wise)

Again, this is just for fun because it is not realistic and I know that.

hell no.

I'd give em newman for Revis straightup, anymore and no deal.

lol, that's not enough. But understandable, why not?

I don't want Revis on this team. He really thinks he is the best CB in the league? I don't think so. And the Jets are being smart by not throwing money at him.

because when the cap comes back paying someone over $20m a season is simply undoable.Look what happened to Haynesworth, once Revis gets paid he'll give up aswell.

and if your talking about just having him for this season, and paying him like $16m to do so. no more than Newman because we wont be able to resign Revis.

Great player, but we already have two outstanding CB's, and Jenkins has a chance to be elite. Eventually you have to pay to keep him.

Its just overkill IMO, especially considering what you'd have to trade to get him and then pay him.

For the first time ever, I think I agree with you.

i'd do it though if it was just for this season, jets send him our way and we pay him say $18m just for the season to play opposite of Jenkins, teams would literally not be able to throw the ball period. But the cost would have to be reasonable(like Newman and a 5th), and that wont happen.

I wonder if these folks that want to keep adding huge dollar players realize that both Romo and Witten are nearing the end of their contracts and are going to break the bank themselves to keep on the team. There are only so many top tier players a team can have.

:laugh2: What? He already had one of the best seasons ever for a CB. His foot is already in the door. He knows he has a chance to be one of the all time greats. I don't think he pulls a "Fat Albert" and simply "gives up."

What makes you think Revis will give up once he gets paid?

Do you think Austin will give up once he gets paid?

lol....

Albert was great for multiple seasons, he had a chance to become a all time great. Had he signed with a normal team, would you have thought he would give up?

Theres a difference, one is holding out and screwing his team. One is coming to training camp.

Austin too. Some people might be willing to trade one of the guys to secure Revis though.

Edit**** Romo has plenty time left on his deal.

Albert is a head case who's lazy as ****. How you draw this comparison is beyond me. He had one great season. He goes to a crappy team SIMPLY for money. No I don't think Revis is anywhere near Haynesworth's level. :laugh2:

now I think that is a exaggeration, but thanks
*an exaggeration.

Come on, is it that hard? Not to be a grammar **** but you do this every freaking post. If the second word begins with a vowel, in almost all cases, you use "an" instead of "a".

Yep, Austin too. This team is just about filled with as many top tier players that can fit under a cap.

Its a community forum for discussion about the cowboys, I make over 20 posts per day. I'm not going to use perfect grammar or spelling
