Would You Trade Micah Parsons for 2 First Picks in the 2026 NFL Draft?

Yes, in a heartbeat. You get 2 players who are not only younger, but cheaper. Plus, you can pick up a ton of free agent talent with the money you saved.

I don't think Parsons will last matching up against offensive linemen that have 75 pounds on him. He would be better off in a 3-4 defense.
Wait until this happens and our cap is tied up in him with him being beat down so much by bigger guys, we'll have plenty to talk about then!!!!

If I knew for sure Archie was coming out and I could get this first pick then yes 100%
If you owned a team with a shot at drafting Arch Manning would you trade it to the Dallas Cowboys for Micah Parsons and his $40 million per season compensation?

If you didn’t need a quarterback, would you trade the pick to a team that did for draft picks or to Dallas for Parsons. 31 teams have a smarter FO than Dallas. He may get traded, but the only way a first round pick would be involved is if the Cowboys are sending their’s with him.

I’d do that too. It would be embarrassing how much I would trade away for a mobile manning

Micah is our best player and his new contract will be very costly. The Browns have 2 First Round Picks next year. You could use these picks to move up to get Arch Manning or make deals multiple draft picks in the Day 2 & 3 and set us up with a bonanza of future key players. Would you do it?
Sign me up !
We will wear him out prematurely.
He is not big enough to play DE on an ongoing basis.
Notice how he fades towards the end of the seasons ?

We don't need to trade anybody to get arch manning. We just need the first pick. With proper play-calling, it'd be easy.

I would be open to trade Parsons for the right trade package. I would probably want two firsts and an active, productive player (starter level) on a rookie contract.

By the way - there’s some talk that Manning might be all hat and no cattle if he didn’t have the name. Word is his arm is more Archie than Peyton and he couldn’t beat out a late round draft pick at his position, time will tell I guess but he’s got some work to do.
Did you watch Archie play? There was absolutely nothing wrong with his arm. Way better than Dak on his worst day. The only reason he’s not in the HOF is because of the team he was drafted by. Arch may not be the real deal but he’s 10 times better than anybody on our roster right now if he never plays another down.

I would but nobody is going to offer that with his mega contract on the horizon. Defense is a whole unit not one guy. He was healthy all last year and it made no difference. We still had one of the worst defenses in the NFL. Granted, it wasn't his fault but if you have the opportunity to add draft picks and reallocate cap space to more positions, it puts the defense in a better spot.

Arch has something his grandad didn't have............speed. He had a run this year where he clocked 20.7 mph. Thats serious speed.

Arch is the son of Cooper Manning who was according to Peyton and Eli, the best athlete in the family. He played WR before injury ended his career before it took off. So, Arch has his legs and a Manning arm. He's also making 5M a year in NIL and enjoying being the BMOC. He might play out his college eligibility.

I’d take Cleveland’s firsts but they won’t be interested. Both those picks could easily be top 10.

Rams firsts will probably be in the late teens or 20’s.

All this analytics stuff is fine and dandy...hard to argue the premise behind most of it...

The issues are:

1) draft is a crap shoot that can't guarantee moneyball working

2) being blatant about taking advantage of low wage rookie deals is rather disgusting at the root

All this will lead to teams doing less trades. There will always be a couple of trades due to falling in love with a player ...but assuming this is all real(questionable), it should subseed.

Seems more like a psy-op than things being real, though. Which is why trades won't taper off...because it's not real.

At this point every Front Office knows moving up is giving an opponent more chances to succeed with lower hit on cap due to rookie deals. Even if I said it's a crap shoot. If this is all real, trades should start to taper off rather quickly

Players like Micah will become untraceable because know wants to take on the large contract and give up 2, 3 or 4 quality draft picks that would be on rookie deals.

The trades need to stop

Micah for Cleveland and Jacksonville's 1st round picks next year, hell yeah!

Imagine 3-1st round picks next year and not having to pay Micah to be the most expensive defensive player in the world.

People don’t think we draft well now,

No.

It’d turn the defense from fine to complete butt cheek. He’s one of the best pass rushers this team has ever had. He is a cornerstone player.

Look at what the Raiders got for Khalil Mack. They traded an elite pass rusher for two first round picks.

Where are the guys they selected with those picks now? Hint - they sucked. One guy is a bottom of the roster JAG on a different team and the other guy is in the CFL.

The fact that some people in this fanbase want to trade away a 25 year old who already has 52.5 sacks in his career is just absolutely absurd to me.

It is an inexcusably absurd opinion to me.
Good points but Mack was older nearing end of career I think, and they wanted
to get rid of his salary too I imagine.
With Parsons, you would have to select the right draft with a specific player you want and need, and Manning if he is good, it might be worth it.

As for replacing Parsons, that might not be possible, in just any draft.

The question is what is he really worth to the team going forward, and is
he going to cruise or play hard all year ?
I have noticed he seems to take some games off, only trying hard on a few plays.

Also Jones boys would have to be good with trading him , and no telling what is in their heads.
I want to see how he plays under shotty, and new DC. And does he let up in games
later in season or is tired again.
