Would you trade up for Travis Hunter?

I think we all know that the Cowboys aren't winning anything in 2025, not with our roster and with both NFCCG teams playing in our division. 2026 doesn't look great either. So I'm looking to build for the future right now, not mortgage it.

Understandable, but after paying Dak, we have no future

Why did you leave out the second rounders we picked?

And Ceedee and Micah picks were BPA. Something that this team hasnt done in the first round in a while. Reaching for a need (ol,dl) at 12 is how you end up with Guytons and Mazis
Well I didn't say take an OL at 12. But I did say a DT or DE. And how do you know the DT or DE at 12 won't be BPA?

We have sucked at 2nd rounders. So if you are going to tell me I can have Travis Hunter for the 12th pick and our 2nd rounder, I'll listen. But that won't be the cost. It will be 12, our 2nd, next year's 1st at a minimum. And when a team does zero in FA to address true needs, I can't be trading away 2-3 premium picks to go chase a CB/WR.

No!
We’re not one player away!
We’re not 2 or even 3 players away!
Way too much capital for someone who doesn’t have a defined position and is unlikely to be the top 5 much less undisputed #1 at whichever one is finally settled on!
Megatron id consider it, maybe even Deion. I see the possibility of being a really good player with Hunter, not a franchise altering one worthy of the capital needed for that jump!

Meanwhile, the division just got interesting. The Giants got their guy just now. Maybe he's washed but now they have a QB

Here’s a hot take…if we’re betting over/under on Travis Hunter, I would bet the under that he doesn’t end up being elite at either position.
