#22 for Atlanta's #34 and #48.

Atlanta could be looking to trade up for Brohm if they don't take Ryan.

You would have 4 first day picks.

I think I would if DRC, Mckelvin or (Talib- maybe) were all gone.

The point vale would be in our favor by 200 but I think that is a modest premium to get to 22 when considering that the Jets,KC and Baltimore may be looking to do the same.

No. I'd grab a CB at 22, and make that trade for #28 though.

I don't think you're gonna get a mid 2nd rounder for moving down 6 spots in the late 1st.

I'd hope we could get a better deal than that for the 22.

The pick I see getting traded is the 28.

I would if all the top corners and running backs were gone.

I know you like Cason though and he projects by many to still be there at 28.

While I always like trading with a team for next years #1, I think we need those 3 picks in the first 61 this year - 4 would even be better.

Consider the possibility of getting#28-Phillips,#34 Cason,#48 - R Rice and #61 - your favorite WR left.

I alos like Jenkins, Cromartie, McKelvin, and Talib.

Cason is a dream pick for me...

1. Pedigree. (Father and 2 cousins played in the NFL)

2. UA Alum whom I have enjoyed watching.

3. Jim Thorpe award winner.

4. Big CB at 6'1", 190. That makes 4.45 more than fast enough for my tastes.

5. Punt Returner with a 10 yard per return avrage.

6. Model citizen and locker room leader.

...I don't deny my hopes, but I don't put them all in 1 basket either.

Draft chart wise..

#22 is worth approx. 780 points.

#34 is worth 560.

#48 is worth 420.

780 vs. 980.

Even at 22, I couldn't see it happening. #28 is just worse; valued at approx. 660 points.

They would REALLY have to want Brohm if you ask me..

For some perspective, let's look at last year.

Dallas traded their #22 overall pick to Cleveland for their second round selection, #36 overall, and a first the following year, this year.

So, Cleveland basically gave up a first the next year to move up 14 spots in the draft to select a QB.

Under the proposed scenario, Atlanta would be moving up 12 spots in order to draft a QB. And they would give up a second in this years draft.

It is a general rule of thumb, when dealing with selections in the next years' draft, that you assign them value equal to the selection in the following round. For example, Atlanta's first round selection next year would be roughly equal, value wise, to their selection in the second round of this year. As such, one could argue that recieving Atlanta's second this year is the same as recieving their first next year, at least from a value standpoint.

I think we can all agree that we would prefer the first.

If anything, this again proves the fallacy of the Trade Value Chart. A draft slot is worth only what another team will pay for it, and nothing more. Cleveland was desperate to acquire Brady Quinn, and paid through the rough to do so. Would Atlanta do the same? I doubt it, but stranger things have happened.

If we do this, it will likely be part of some additional moving around wherein we end up back in the first but yield an extra 4 for jumping around

I'd take the Falcons 34th & 48th picks for our 22nd# if all the top CBs are off the board. With our 28th pick I'd draft RB Jonathan Stewart. With the Falcons 34th pick I'd take WR James Hardy, with their #48th pick I'd take CB Antoine Cason.

I'd trade away our 61st pick to a top 10 team in the 3rd round for their pick & hopefully also their 4th or 5th. With their 3rd round pick I'd grab OG Chilio Rachal & with our own late 3rd rounder I'd take ILB Beau Bell.

In the 4th round I'd grab SS Josh Barnett & ??? (haven't decided yet)

People pay way too much attention to this "draft chart" . It means nothing to the people pulling the trigger on the deals . If Atlanta sees a player/QB they want , and don't feel like he'll be available in the second round , they'll do the deal . They have 6 freaking picks in the first 3 rounds to work with .

If DRC, Jenkins, McKelvin and Talib are all gone then yes I would trade the pick. I am against taking a RB in the 1st round.

With the 28th and high 2nd, I would pick up Cason and Tracy Portor. Yes, I want two CBs high. Reason? we have two CBs in their 30's, injured over past two yrs, no depth and have you seen how much it cost to signs a decent CB? We need to plan ahead in a CB rich draft. I love these two CBs after the top tier ones because they generate INTs. People who have a knack for the ball just have a good feel for the game and tends to have lesser chance of being a bust (IMO). I hate to see CB highlights when all they show is tackles...

I would love to pick up Rice as our 2nd round RB. Sure, speed is sexy and all but to me, RB is all about instincts and he's got it along with the production to show for it. Besides, Barber is asking for the moon and you need to have a workhorse avail if he departs or goes down. We can always pick up another "speedy" RB after 4th.

I don't want to trade any picks away unless we are trading picks to get players in the first like Reshard Mendenhall or Johnathon Stewart or Desan Jackson or Mike Jenkins.

I would definitely take that trade in this draft if all the top-tier CBs are off the board (Jenkins/McKelvin/DRC).
