Sort of how the Saints did with their two qb's and other teams have. Lance can come in and be the QB, have Dak lined up out wide doing nothing! Have Dak at Qb and have Lance on some kind of trick play. I'm ok with Trick plays, but not to an excessive amount or at the wrong time of the game. What are your thoughts on this, do you see a chance of Dak and Lance being on the field at the same time????

Only sprinkling will be in preseason.

The Cowboys and Bills were the only teams interested in trading for Lance. The Bills offered a 5th. No one will be interested in him until he shows something. The next team he plays for will be as a free agent.

Lance is a weapon. As I recall, on one of his long runs while in SF, he was clocked with something like the 12th highest speed for the season in all the league, for all positions. It's almost criminal to think you have no long term plans for the player anyhow such that you should be bashful about exploiting his talents for this one season that you know you've got him.

If, as New Orleans did, we had a head coach widely revered for his offensive competence, maybe.

I'd not think of it as an either/or, though... Dak is the primary QB, but then you move Trey around.

Some ideas from how UNLV implemented it a few years ago, fwiw...

WHY??????? The dude has done nothing in the NFL! Just because JJ blow a 4th rounder on Lance doesn't make him and bonafide NFL player, hell just ask the 9ers............LOL!

We should do that. And at the end of the year and we are headed into the playoffs, put Lance in as the starting QB. Dak can get all his pretty stats like normal during the regular season and then take a seat so he doesn't kill our chances in the playoffs. I doubt Lance will get us anywhere but we know Dak isn't going to do anything so why not give it a shot, Lance can't be any worse than Dak in the playoffs.

McCartthy doesn't have the cajones to do that. Kellen Moore would've done it in a heartbeat.
