In these dark, dank and gray days of December, when the tundra is frozen up north and the prairie still has green grass in the south, there are Giants still treading the playing fields of the NFL, a pantheon of so-called men who toil in the summer so they can yak all day in winter.

Thus, the Giants meet the Saints this weekend.

It would be nice for the Saints to silence -- for the rest of this year -- the drivel that we've heard all year from Strahan, Plaxico, Shockey, Tiki and all those other big-headed athletes who think living near the Big Apple makes them legitimate contenders every year.

It would be nice for those constant talkers to retreat to the abodes for the duration of the winter. . . . while the big boys play in earnest. (end of John Facenda vocce)

Yeah, put the hammer to them giants! They need to shut up and watch the rest of the league show them how it is played.

Actually we need the Giants to beat the Saints. We win our last 2 games and we get a 1st round bye.

Also, they said there is a situation where the Giants can win their last 2 games, but still miss the playoffs. But I think that involves Philly beating the Cowboys. And we DO NOT want that to happen.

All I care about is Dallas winning out and saints dropping 1. I like our chances if we can get a bye week instead of being forced to play wildcard weekend.

You young whippersnappers need to brush up on NFL history.
You know, the frozen tundra, NFL films. To sound like the late and great announcer you need to start smoking four packs a day and get only 3 hours of sleep per day.
