Iupati is just about the only player I would hope for in round 1, almost any other option I'd prefer to trade down.
McClain not a pet of yours anymore Hos or have you come to grips that he'll be long gone by 27 ?

Hostile, have you seen this buddy on McCluster;

After a stunning performance in the 40 and three cone sprint, Dexter McCluster shined during position drills. Scouts lined him up all over the field; as a running back, slot receiver and return specialist as the Seattle Seahawks had McCluster field punts at the end of the day. His workout was near flawless.

How early could McCluster be drafted? No later than the second half of round two but it looks like he could go as early as the middle part of the frame. The Jets current situation with Leon Washington will impact McCluster as sources have told us the team really likes the Mississippi prospect.

Update 3PM

By all accounts it was a very successful day for Jevan Snead. He threw more than 50 passes and all but two were completed. His passes were crisp in the short field and Snead was very accurate with his deep throws. Scouts said of all the quarterbacks they’ve watched throw the ball this year today’s performance by Snead was the best. A number of team coaches and decision makers wanted to be at today’s workout but were unable to because of the league meetings taking place. There’s a chance Snead may hold another workout. One team very interested in Snead are the Pittsburgh Steelers. The teams was showed heavy interest in the quarterback before the recent incident involving Ben Roethlisberger, and it could grow stronger.

Receiver Shay Hodge ran the forty in times of 4.51 and 4.57 then caught the ball well in position drills.

The times and marks at the Mississippi pro-day event have been fast today, even though it’s being performed on a slippery field turf.

The Rebels explosive skill player Dexter McCluster was exactly that, explosive. He ran 40 times which hovered in the low 4.4-second area. Some scouts had McCluster as fast as 4.39 seconds. His three cone time was also swift at 6.59 seconds. McCluster’s forty time represents an improvement of .15 seconds over his combine.

Still the guy I want the most, but he is simply like Patrick Willis and too good to drop within our range.

Dexter McCluster-RB- Player Mar. 24 - 2:01 pm et

Ole Miss RB Dexter McCluster improved his forty time to the low-4.4 range at the Rebels' Tuesday Pro Day.

McCluster disturbingly ran 4.58 at last month's Scouting Combine, but he was reportedly timed as fast as 4.39 on Tuesday. The development is very promising for McCluster, who projects as a second- to third-round pick.

You should know by now that I do not get disappointed over my pet cats who do not get drafted. Have you ever seen me post one comment about wishing we had taken Terrell Suggs like I so desperately wanted when we first started jawing on these sites?

I am a realist. I can separate my biases, sane and insane, from the actual direction things fall. These aren't my expectations, they are my thoughts, opinions, agendas, and/or any other adjective you want to give them.

I happen to know McCluster is viewed by the team as a slot WR and return man as well as an option for the Razorback. I like what he can potentially bring to the Offense. That doesn't mean we are going to get him. I know that. I just hope we do and I would love it. If we don't end up with him I won't give it a 2nd thought.

That doesn't stop me from having an opinion and sometimes they are unpopular. I'll get over it.

He intrigues me for return duties and some spice to the slot. ST's could put us over the top with the right return man imo...

My opinion exactly. Why not get a return man who can help in other areas? I should care that he was primarily a RB at Ole Miss and we are already 3 deep at RB? I don't. I want field position and a potential weapon.

I just wonder why he wasnt used for it much there at Ol Miss. It cant be because "he was too important" because Houston Nutt has already displayed as a coach he'll use his best players on ST (McFadden, Felix Jones)

And when McCluster did get a chance at it, he wasnt very good.

All of you on this guy assume he'll be a great return guy (and maybe he will be one day) but he has shown no history of it.

Yeah, what do the scouts who project him in those roles know?
