The PC just started, and one of the first things he says is that he addressed the team today and told them that this isn't an admission of defeat for the rest of the season, that they needed to keep playing hard, and that he was evaluating them for the rest of the year.

He also announces -- not Jason, but Jerry -- that Paul P is the DC.

Geez. At the PC introducing a new coach, you pretty much continue acting like you're the head coach. :banghead:

Par for the course...

Does it really make a difference who announces who is what? It's not like it's news to anybody anyways. The main thing I am getting from this is that he told the players that jobs are on the line if they continue to play like crap.

Which I think says a lot about JG. To me this just stinks of "temporary" coaches in position to try and get the players through the rest of the year.

I think you see a huge cleaning of the house next offseason. I think most if not all coaches will be gone and much of this current roster.

As they SHOULD be.

Exactly. What are fans expecting? Jason to be the first person to have a press conference? I think there are multiple general managers that have announced coaching decisions.

Your right, what he should have said is i want you to lose real bad for the rest of the season.

Did you expect any thing different? BUT I didn't think he was going to let Garrett change any of the staff, that would be useless at this point.

Sounds like he wanted to fire Wade the defensive coordinator as much as he wanted to fire Wade the HC.

Why would Garrett do that? He's still wet behind the ears. Plus he's only interim HC. He has NO power.

The whole situation is nauseating.

That moron understands accountability less than my 3 year old does.

Same OLD SAme OLD....the news and the owner/gm/quasi head coach...it's just friggin' sickening. Senile, narcissistic, old fart. I'm starting to hate him. I don't want to, it isn't healthy but he's Al Davis Jr.

JFE isn't as hot as i originally thought. :laugh2:

those of you (and there are many) who are fans of jerry the owner or GM, need to wake up.
he is still the same egomaniacal idiot he has always been.

Al Davis part deux

I will say, I rewound this on Sirius and I'm only about 5 minutes in but I have never heard Jerry this subdued.
