These are some terrible *** puns.....you guys need to get a grip.
He's done. You can get away with playing football without a finger, but no thumb? (I know it said part of thumb, but for all intents and purposes, it might as well be the whole thumb)
I suspected that the damage was much deeper than just one finger. I thought I remembered hearing that other parts of his hand (ligaments maybe? I don't know much about biology, lol) were also badly damaged, so hearing this isn't surprising to me at all. Especially after it seemed like he was trying to stay hidden from the team during this whole thing.
Sucks for the Giants, who really needed him probably more than ever this season. Their pass rush is going to struggle this year, probably worse than ours was last year. Probably just as bad or worse is their offensive line situation... big questions in both trenches equals "try again next season".
Just go with this and go Velociraptor on the lineman!
JPP is done as a football player. It's time he tries his hand at something else. Perhaps Spock impersonations.
Any photos out there yet?

If there are, I haven't heard about them. Then again, I don't pay much attention to the local news.
There WAS something... I think a mod had the link?
Hmm, do you mean this (you'll figure it out): opposite-of-alive-spin/heres-jason-pierre-pauls-hand-sort-of-1731048915

fwiw, I think he'll still be a pretty good football player. for starters, the damage is on one hand, not both. second, defensive linemen use tons of moves that do not require grabbing. swim moves, unders, rips, clubs, punches won't be effected by the injury. and third, while losing the tip of the thumb is a gonna have an impact,
but the index finger is the least important when it comes to dexterity, grip and functional hand strength. I would say his injury history prior to this would be more worrisome than this injury.
Holding a golf club backs up your point.
Holding/trigger of gun doesn't. Lol
