If we tender MBIII at the highest level and lose him, we need to sign Turner immediately. We would then have 3 1st rounders in a strong draft. I would send one to DET for Roy Williams, take a top CB with another(hopefully DRC) and an OT with the last(a strong draft for tackles). We could then draft a RB with our 2nd(Charles, Johnson, Rice, Slaton). Nice 1st day.

I have a feeling that Turner is going to pull a Lamont Jordon.

I like Barber, but is he really worth more than a 1st and a 3rd and a new contract? I don't think he is.

I LOVE Barber but there are very few backs in the NFL that I would give up a 1st and 3rd round picks for in addition to 5 million a year.

i think it would be funny to trade to the first pick and not take DMAC and take Chris Long:eek: that would be a WOW move

Umm, before we get to "WOW", let's first re-sign Barber. Losing a pro-bowl RB that your team developed and replacing him with an unproven draftee is hardly a "WOW" move to me.

I guess Barber getting 25 mil over 5 years is worse than giving a rookie 5 years 60 mil...:bang2:

The way Barber runs I can see some injuries in his future.

And a short career as well.

Draft a back who can carry the load if need be.

We have the right to match offers - unles we get poison pilled. MB3 is not going anywhere.

I would consider Barber leaving a huge loss and a big mistake. The guy scores tds and moves the chains. How many backs have scored more in the last two seasons?

And how would pay for this great influx of talent? Who would you cut to provide some cap room?

Turner is vastly overrated

JJ will get a deal done or retain MB3 one way or the other. He has a massive heart and a vital cog to our offense forward
