Still mad that we didn't keep Keith Smith. That was a much more versatile role player.

I think that depends on how they are used.
Olawale can function as a RB which was not really the case with Smith.
Smith was a bit better as a blocker than Olawale.

I don't think it's that people want to get rid of him so fast but the receiving corps is very crowded. His specialty so far has been a blocking receiver..... key word receiver. If guys like Wilson and Johnson are much better receivers than they will get the spot. I like Brown but this training camp and preseason he needs to explode as a receiver and show her can be that guy as well.It confounds me that folks are in a hurry to get rid of this dude. Plus, you saw a safety moving with him in motion, which supports what was said in the other thread. I get it, you probably don't want to have to throw 60 passes to him, but the league is filled with role players and he is solid.
