WR blocking LB

#85 with a point of attack block on a LB.

It confounds me that folks are in a hurry to get rid of this dude. Plus, you saw a safety moving with him in motion, which supports what was said in the other thread. I get it, you probably don't want to have to throw 60 passes to him, but the league is filled with role players and he is solid.

Still mad that we didn't keep Keith Smith. That was a much more versatile role player.

Keith Smith vs Olawale

I think that depends on how they are used.

Olawale can function as a RB which was not really the case with Smith.

Smith was a bit better as a blocker than Olawale.

Smith was a savage at blocking, no doubt due to him being a converted LB. He was also blowing bodies up on S/T every game.

So far, Olawale has done notta. I think I saw one block from him all season that stood out.

I don't think it's that people want to get rid of him so fast but the receiving corps is very crowded. His specialty so far has been a blocking receiver..... key word receiver. If guys like Wilson and Johnson are much better receivers than they will get the spot. I like Brown but this training camp and preseason he needs to explode as a receiver and show her can be that guy as well.
