I think we draft a WR rounds 3 to 5 area. Most likely 4th or 5th round, imo.
I think they are just as likely to take a WR in the first as they are in the 5th.

Jerry will use signing Melton as justification for passing on a DL early, and he loves shiny new toys.

I really like Mathews and Adams. Both just know how to play the position. Mathews already acts like a true pro and put up huge numbers with very mediocre QB play. Give me either and I'll be happy.

Yep, both good prospects.

All depends on what round, right?

They both probably go in rd 2 with all the other, more needy, talent expected to be there at 47, I'd have a tough time spending it on either of them...though both may be worth it under different circumstances.

Does his weight scare you a bit? He's only around 180 lbs and about 6' 0'" tall.

not really as long as he mostly operates in the slot, if he were to be used as a full time outside guy then yes it would. The difference is him going against guys like carr, sherman, revis or going against guys like scandrick.

If Lee falls to 47, would you consider him there? I feel like a lot of people are sleeping on him. He could slide.

Not sure. I want a waterbug which we should be able to get 2-6. Obviously if a big bad fast stud comes up you have to consider it.

The Cowboys already have slot guys in Harris and Beasley. They need a 3rd outside guy.

3rd/4th seems to be the best spot value wise, but I could also see someone falling (Adams, Bryant, Robinson, ect) into the 2nd and Jerry pulling the trigger.

3rd/4th round guys I like....

Landry- not the fastest but he gets open and makes tough catches. Proven to be a reliable target

Huff- fast and stocky. Former rb who runs like one after the catch. Can be lined up anywhere

Richardson- May not fall to us in the 3rd but he has game changing speed that would require safety help.

Coleman- huge and more athletic than most guys his size. Instant red zone threat.

Norwood- has size + speed. Moving up boards and I think he'd be a much higher pick if he didn't play in Bama's offense

I do like Richardson and Norwood.

Well, he's 6' 192 lbs. I mean, he's very fast and very quick but he's not really what I would consider small for a WR.

He's fast enough. I like the player. I like Cooks better but I don't see that happening. You can get a waterbug later on. Tall and fast is more good though to most GMs. Tall and fast and big is even more gooder.

So Moncreif then. He's tall and fast and big.

I thought you said you didn't want a waterbug?

I do. I like Beasley but he doesn't have the quicks and he's not fast but he does get separation. I don't see WR as the biggest of needs but they have to look at most positions when their number is called.

they need a slot guy with speed that can play outside in a pinch, richardson is that.

plus saying we don't need x player because we already have y and z mediocre player is how you set your team up for failure.

LOL. I have my preferences and I have what I think they will do and I have what I think they should do.

I like Bryant, Moncrief, Coleman and Matthews from the third and later. Coleman and Moncrief might be around when we pick in the third.

I'd see if Dri Archer was available in the third or better fourth. He's my sleeper along with Matthews although neither one is really a sleeper. I just like the word. :)
