Well, it is pretty clear that we need a number 1 receiver. There are only a few apparent options out there. Which option would you take?

  1. Bring back Keyshawn
  2. Sign T.O.
  3. Trade a for Javon Walker (will cost more than what the skins gave for Lloyd)
  4. Sign Eric Moulds
  5. Pick a WR in the first round and hope he is good

Javon Walker.

TO is a ticking time bomb. I really dont think it would take that much to get Walker. He has pissed off the Packers management and is coming off an ACL injury.

As much as it pains me I agree the only #1 WR on that list is you know who.

Just bring in somebody who can help us win if it has to be him fine let's just get it done, whatever it is.

3. Trade a for Javon Walker (though I would need to be convinced he'll return to 100%)

What do you think it would take to get Walker?

Walker's career numbers are:

157 receptions
2444 yards
15.6 average
22 TDs

Lloyd's numbers are:

105 receptions
1510 yards
14.4 average
13 TDs

So, it is clear that Walker is the better WR (although he has had Farve passing to him).

The Skins had to give up a 3rd this year and a 4th next year to get Walker.

I think we would have to either give up our 1st this year to get him or our 2nd this year and probably our 3rd or 4th next year to get Walker.

But is that really too much? We need a WR. Is there a WR worth our 1st round pick this year? I don't think so. Walker is still young. It might be worth it. I would actually rather give up our 1st this year than having to give up multiple picks. If we could get him for only our 2nd this year then I think it would be a no-brainer.

If a disgruntled player coming off an injury is worth a second (referring to Culpepper), I dont see why this one isnt worth a second. A first for Walker is entirely too much.

Any of them EXCEPT for #2.

Long time no see, Whcarm.

Any chance that Detroit would give up Charles Rogers for a relatively cheap price?

He's never produced but sure had potential coming into the league.

I don't think he'd be your number 1 but could replace Copper.

TO....will be the only player that will produce this year.....all others have questions or lack the ability to be a #1 WR.

But at what expense....

And TO doesnt have questions? He is seemingly more injury prone by the year, and that doesnt even include his knack for being a ******* 24/7.

Walker has put up over 1300 yards and 12 TD's in a season. That is a #1 WR.

Yeah, I was just thinking a few days ago that I had not seen you post in a while. I lurk around, but don't post all that often. But things are starting to get interesting now.

It's been a crazy few months for me. I graduated law school in May and left Cleveland to move back to Williamsburg, VA for a while to get my house in order. Then I decided to move up to Washington, DC. I had an internship on the Hill for a while and now I am working for the US Commission on Internaitonal Religious Freedoms doing research on Islamic nations and human rights issues. Still looking for a permanent job though. And still trying to figure out where I am going to take the Bar, even though I don't really want to practice law all that much. And I just started my own political blog and I am considering starting a huge research project to write a book on NATO expansion. So, I don't always get to post a lot. But I'm around.

If we could get Walker for a 2007 2nd rounder, that would be a worthwhile trade.

WOW! Congratulations, Whcarm! Law Degree... whoooo. Nice.

Hopefully there'll be a nice QB controversy in the near future for us to debate about. :D
