There are always exceptions but more often than not teams give less in trade or pay less for a guy coming off big injury.
Not to the "stars" or guys perceived as stars. Yeah a LVE will take a hit. A Trysten Hill would take a hit. Guys like Robert Woods wouldn't...its a 2023 6th rounder....that's just silly lol.

What’s funny is Woods is the player that stirred the drink for them. Once he went down they struggled. They got lucky with OBJ. They also got lucky Kupp had a injury free year. He’s been hurt quite often
Woods didt stir anything. Kupp had one of the best seasons in nfl history.

The Rams have had a good long term relationship with Woods
This got him to a good team that had a huge need at WR, but out of the NFC (Green Bay, fir example)

The way the Rams handled Woods vs how Dallas handled Gallup only provides further proof that our FO is scared to make moves to get better.

They don't want to be exposed so they play it safe.

Couple that with over rating your players because you aren't qualified to know what you're seeing and everyone around you is there to validate your choices....

Jerry would have never dumped Woods as would have been part of the big happy family and would have thrown 50 million at him like he did Gallup.

Before the injury, Woods was more comparable to Cooper, and they were handled similarly by both franchises.

Yeah I know what you mean. My words were a little off on that post vs what I actually meant.

Was thinking along how Woods would have been coddled here and told we will stick by you....

Meanwhile Dallas would have never signed Gallup to more than a one year cheap prove it deal if he played elsewhere.

It's about ownership and FO forming personal relationships. It hurts in many ways but thats Jerry's Utopia....him being the sole architect of one big happy family of stud championship winning players that are loyal to him for giving them the opportunity.
