Let's say both Williams and Edwards are off the board when we pick...we make a defensive pick....

here comes #20:
Troy Williamson
Roddy White
Mark Clayton

All on the board...do we take one? Or do we wait until our 2nd rd. pic and take one?

Just thinking here out load here. We need to infuse some young talent at WR...getting a young talent like Troy, Roddy, or Mark certainly fill that need.

Personally, I'm thinking all defense with the top 3 picks...Spears, Merriman, and Hawthorne would make me jump for joy! However, if we landed one of these guys I'd be fine with it as well.

Which guy do you like? AND at #20 or #42?

Best player available. If it's a defensive player we take a defensive player. We don't HAVE to have a WR in the first round. If one those WRs are the best available I'd probably go with Williamson.

We take Spears, Marlin Jackson, Carlos Rogers, Hawthorne, Justin Miller, Merriman, or if they are all gone we trade down a few spots.
One of those WRs will probably be available in round 2, if not, no big loss although I do like Clayton quite a bit. Other than Mike Williams, no WR really jumps out at me as a difference maker from this draft.

we take williamson and don't think about anything else. if he's gone than we try to trade down or we go for the best player at our top 3 position needs. I wouldn't mind seeing us take Charlie frye.

I'd love to see our first 2 picks go to the front 7 and let the chips fall where they may from there. I can't argue with the BPA mentality but I would like to see us get bigger and better up front first

I look at Clayton and see Marvin Harrison. Any doubt as to which of those receivers I would prefer? I think the Cowboys would have to give this guy a serious look at #20. It will all depend, of course, on who's still on the board.

The more I read about Clayton, the more I like. The only knock I've heard of is size.
