Let’s face it Lamb Pickens Turpin and Tolbert are the headliners . The guys getting the majority of the targets . Spot 5 is going to be a dog fight . Flournoy Brooks Cropper plus Holden the Oregon UDFA . It’s a nice problem to have some depth . Personally after your top 4 I think Flournoy has something . I hope he has the second season breakout year .

Mingo will be in the top 4.

You have 2 definites in Lamb and Pickens and the rest who all flash but aren’t consistent.

Training camp and preseason don’t mean anything because last year everyone was so excited for those guys and regular season comes and no one turned into a #2 despite all the opportunities.

The hope is Tolbert can be like Cedrick Wilson who everyone forgets about since they have to focus on CD and Pickens and gets about 50-60 yards per game because of that.

#Mingo

Mingo and Tolbert might be somewhat interchangeable based on what they want to do. More likely to run if Mingo is in.

I’m not counting Parris Campbell out.
Think he’s more of veteran practice squad stash. Just don’t think he does enough to warrant a spot on the 53. His game is similar to Mingo. Short game, reverses, screens and end around type plays

Lamb-Pickens-Tolbert-Mingo-Turpin are all locks. Last guy is likely Brooks or Flournoy. I lean brooks because he plays all of the special teams units

Turpin is in his own weapon/gadget category. Plus he got paid so he will get snaps all over the field. Tolbert/Mingo are battling for wr3. I'd expect Jerry to ask for his big trade guy Mingo to get some extra snaps. In a perfect world, Mingo balls out and maybe one of the young guys looks good too and they trade Tolbert to a wr needy team for a DT. He did have OK wr 2 and a half numbers last year.

This board needs to let the dream of trading for a legit run stuffing DT die lol

Lamb and Pickens are the top 2 for sure. After that, there rest of the guy they have need to battle it out. I am not convinced Turpin is the best of the bunch as a WR. He is their special teams guy, but as a WR? He makes me nervous. I think Brooks had his chance. He is another JAG to me. I need to see more of Mingo and Flournoy. Flournoy show some potential to get open last year but I don't think we saw enough of him to judge. Holden is a wild card. Haven't seen him yet but he looks good in his highlight videos.

I am not ready to say, there is an abundance of talent after Lamb and Pickens though. It should be fun watching them all compete though.

I think they have to keep 6 WRs to minimize risk of getting the 5th spot wrong. Could even argue 7.

Not sure why the board is so down on Tolbert. Tolbert is a solid WR3. Tolbert gets the job this year but think Mingo gets it next year when Tolberts contract ends
Not down, they are who they are, both are jags. We haven't seen Mingo flash his receiving skills like Tolbert but Mingo is a better run blocker so i see them being used a little differently is all. Either could break out and have a decent year with the 2 #1 guys getting most of the attention.
