Wright is going to be a player for this team

The schem matters. And this a kid that Quinn wanted because he fit. Maybe not a 3rd round prospect on a lot of boards but for this team it’s hard to imagine getting a better player at the end of the 3rd round. We’re going to be happy we took this kid.

I think Joseph is the more talented player. Certainly with more upside. And more scheme flexible. I expect that he’s going to be given every opportunity to take the staring spot. But Wright is showing everything he needs to. And I think he’s one of the top 3 corners on this team.

not yet but if you watch close hes always on his guy and gets his head around looking for the ball..we havent seen a lot of that the last decades and we finally have tome DBs that actually do this now..hes but handsy and will have to learn but im betting slowly with reps during games he will fight his way to being starter on some packages..

the one thing i do know, hew as one of the overly debated so called draft mistake and the coaches are going to have the last laugh..fans just dont know squat and some of the draft picks being criticized are playing pretty well so far..

I'm sure a bunch of you saw the podcast where they showed the one on ones with the receivers and corners.
Wright stood out. He was consistently good. I think Cee Dee caught one over him that was an amazing catch, and Wright just gave him props for a great catch, but other than that he was really good. The only guy who was better was Canady. That dude was amazing on every play. Diggs was very good too, just seemed like he took a few plays off, whereas Canady and Wright battled every play.
I'm hopeful for him.

The more I see the more I like. He does everything well and played smart on special teams. Takes on blocks. Good position on D. Really looking forward to seeing him develop. I know it's only 2 preseason games but he's definitely playing better than expected.. even for those who actually liked the pick. lol

Wright is not an every scheme CB. But THIS scheme fits his skill set really well. Seeing this kid it’s hard to imagine getting a better fit at the end of the 3rd round. The fit matters.

I like the way Wright is playing. Definitely has some skills and some swagger.

Length can't be taught. He's going to be very tough to beat in a straight line. But, I think any route with a double move or hard cut is going to be tough for him. I can seem him coming in and out based on match ups and the specific coverage being called.

You're right....it can't be tought but it can be a hinderance...many guys have came into the league and have struggled at that size being 6'3 and 6'4...its early but thus far he seems to be a rare gem at that height.

Wright seems like a smart kid. High football IQ. But with that said I want to see what kind of CB he can be.

Your assessment is how I see him so far. Still too early to tell because ps games are hard to measure much but his height is a plus, especially in certain situations. He doesn’t have the quickness to be a great cover guy in all situations but again, still too early to know everything about this kid.

This is an absolutely terrible idea lol. Wright has zero physical attributes that translate to fs..he’s fine where he is
