I had a friend in Houston, that was watching a sports show on comcast, towards NFL and the Hall of Fame, and the writers said no Dallas Cowboys will ever get into the Hall of Fame, unless they do something, there is some kind of bias towards the Cowboys, thats just the way it is, and unless the fans object to their (the writers bosses), no Dallas Cowboy will get into the Hall of Fame.
Take for instance Michael Irwin they said, his troubles with the law will always keep him out, thats the way it is, and unless the fans complain to their bosses on the writers that make up the Hall of Fame vote, nothing will be done, no dallas cowboy will get in. I have heard reports on Aikman that because he didnt put up lofty numbers in passing he wont get in, even though he helped win 3 super bowls.
So, what are the fans going to do about it, should we do some kind of petition together, to report to the Hall of Fame, and the superiors of all the writers that make up the voting panel. What are you thoughts? joe

So what will be the excuse for Emmitt for not being elected to the Hall the Fame. He had a great offence line?

I don't think Comcast services the Houston area...

Gotta check that out.

I know Time Warner does tho.

That said, does your friend remember what show it was on?

Burn down the Hall of Fame, bomb league headquarters, and Pittsburgh's, San Francisco's, and Washington's stadiums/practice facilities/media outlets.

If none of the three make the final cut, I feel sorry for those selected. The "Cowboys Bias" talk will overshadow their enshrinement.

I think this report is a by product of the Houston voter for the Hall of Fame saying last year on his show that the San Francisco voter will never vote for Cowboys.

Its gunna be hard to keep Troy and Emmitt out of the hall, especially Emmitt. The all time NFL leading rusher is not a HOFer? I dont think that will fly even in Washington DC.

I totally disagree (and have over and over in many posts) that there is a anti-Cowboy bias in the hall. Emmitt is a no brainer -- he'll likely be unanimous.

Troy was the QB for 3 SB teams. If he's not in first ballot then I'll believe there is a bias. But I think the folks who say his stats aren't good enough are in the minority. A QB who leads 3 SB teams is special.

Aber, are you saying there is no bias against the boys? Just asking cause I was not clear from reading your post.

In the by-laws, it says they are not to consider off field stuff, only on the field performances. Irving should be a 1st ballot by his numbers, his superbowl victories, his on the field leadership. What did he not have that keeps him out of the hall?

Are you of the mind that off-field incidents should play into the voters decision?
