Xavier Woods blames loss on practicing vs Dak not Rush

I mean, what could they really do? There's no film on Rush and they played to make Rush beat them.

They did well at stopping the run and Rush was able to make some big throws. They forced Rush to make 2 turnovers also.

Their gamelan on defense worked as far as I can tell, because they did stop the run. It was their offense that couldn't do anything against our defense though and that ultimately was the difference.

agreed. advantage Dallas.

It doesn’t say anywhere in that article that Xavier Woods blamed the loss on that.

Poetry was not your first course.. between the lines

"We were just preparing for 4 [Prescott]," Woods continued. "We kind of thought they were going to still run the same offense. So, we just prepared for 4 all week. We didn't get the word [that Rush was going to start] until pregame, so we just prepared for 4 but we watched a couple clips of Coop. But during the week, we just prepared for 4."

Meh, I didn't read that as him blaming that for the loss, just a matter of fact statement. And I'd say that's not a big deal, they had maybe a couple of pre-seasons' worth of passing plays from Rush, you could only get a bit from that.

Their offense really lost them the game as much as anything. The defense got 2 turnovers and limited the Cowboys to 20 points. THeir offense converted 1 of 12 third downs.

The reporter is trying to insinuate it. He sounds fine with the way they prepared.

I believe him. Minnesota ran this ultra conservative offense which made zero sense to me. You got Thielen and Jefferson... air it out.
