ok i know there are some older fellas on here that might not play video games alot but if your sons own an xbox I really sugjest that you check this out online or something

Im rediculously stoked about this game. you take control of a football team of your choice as the new head coach starting the ay after the super bowl. its a sports managment sim where you go to all the meetings, set gameplan for the week, hire and fire assistants, draft players (you can redo this draft and all yall who wanted to trade up for a qb you can this time around).

on gameday you call all the plays and audibles and watch the madden 07 engine play the play you called. (for all those people who dont like the whole reading defenses and finding lanes) but thats not all you do gameday. say your qb is throwing to low and lbs are picking him off. when your qb is off the field (during time out or defense is on) you can have your assistant coaches call the plays (the game will keep playing in real time while you off chewing out bledsoe or taking the passive route) and talk to the qb or the whole qb group about everything from ball placement, velocity or time in pocket. depending on how well your team respencts you for making good calls and a bunch of other factors. same with defence. if u want your lbs to pay more attention to middle of field you can tell them that while your assistant coach calls the next couple plays. but you could turn the ball over in tha time as well.

That is just a small peek at what the game is all about. if you wanna check out more just go to gamespot or post here and tell me if you already excited bout it. im interested to see how many people even know about it cuz i havnt met anyone who has even heard of it yet.

To me, this sounds like a boring concept unless thier is some sort of integration with Madden 07. Knowing EA Sports, something will be seriously wrong with NFL Headcoach.

The concept really reminds me of this old Commodore 64 game I had. I know that old game was a bunch of fun. I can't wait to give it a test drive and see what's really up with this new one.

Hopefully, can some of you guys post an objective review of the game? None of this, "Yo man, this is the greatest game ever" nonsense.

Pros and cons.

I wouldn't mind checking it out. I need something new. Madden is stale and 2k5 is 2 years old.

Reading the reviews it seems like a very in depth and detailed version of GM mode. The game releases on the 20th I will get it for PC and let you know what I think

I think I read that you'll be able to export your team to Madden. So you can play with them if you want.

To me, it just seems like the features of HeadCoach should have been in Madden a while ago. Instead of actually innovating, EA gives us such wonders as the juke stick or right analogstick controlled blocking, marginally upgrading the rosters and charging $50 for a 'new' product. With HC, EA has figured out how to truly milk the football video gamer for all they are worth.
