I've read some media comments questioning if he's big enough to play FS. He looks big enough to me.

I thought the same thing. The only real negatives I've found on Smith is that he is a tad slow (for CB) and that he is a tad small (for safety).

Well, he will be plenty fast for safety and just at first look, he appears to be pretty stout for the position too.

His positives all say he's a guy that loves to play football, is a leader on the field, and will work his tail off. With those positives and his speed and size appearing to be okay... I'd say he was a great pick for Dallas.

I'm really impressed with our scouts lately (the past few seasons).
