I always hate these I told you so takes..... because the person making them has nothing to lose. If dak doesn't win a Super Bowl then plaxico get his I told you so moment. If dak does then plaxico gets to hide and his comment gets swept under the rug, or he can make a joke about it.

It's playing the odds..... Even if dak was the best quarterback in football. There is still a 1 out of 32 chance he's winning a Super Bowl.... and thats if a whole bunch of negatives don't derail the title hopes along the way.

Point is - I'm certainly no dak apologist, but statistically it's easy to make the claim plaxico is making. It's just a lazy no substance take.... even if it's true.
Post of the day. It applies to all the jacklegs here too.

Plaxico was on a SB winning team, so that gives him the right to give his opinion on Dak and if he doesnt think
dak is capable of winning a SB.
His opinion counts more or is more valid than any of us here, unless some of you guys have won SB's too??

It is however just his opinion, not fact.
Dissing Dallas is a bestseller. It gets you attention. Look at Shady McCoy. Decent as a player, even less so as an analyst, and a natural Dallashater, bitter by years of “second-class citizenship”. He knows he can garner fame and fortune as a SAS/ShannonSharpe clone, and he absolutely RELISHES it. Thwart him best by ignoring him. He rages at perceived irrelevance.

Nothing controversial about anything he said. He didn't say Dak was bad or overrated but what he said is looking like the truth. After 7 years as a starter (more than an average starting QB in the league), it becomes more and more likely that he will never win a Super Bowl here.

As a team, you have a 5-year window for a starting QB to win a championship - pretty much every SB-winning QB in this century did it within their first 5 years starting for their team. After 5 years, there comes a point where you realize that either the QB himself is not good enough and/or the team is unable to build a championship team around him. I feel like that's where we are now. If it hadn't happened by now, it's most likely never happening.

Yes worse QBs than Dak have won. But those QBs were not billed as franchise QBs and generally had a generational defense that made it possible for the offense to be operated by a limited QB.
His contract, or stature as a "franchise" QB is a different subject and I have been vocal about it since before Jerry gave him that deal. But the question is can the Cowboys win a SB with Dak? I think yes if they do not put the offense on his back and expect him to not make huge mistakes in a series of playoff games.

I'm okay with the idea that we might never win a Super Bowl with Dak as our QB. Many other QBs have had that experience and their patrons didn't complain nearly as much as the fans of the Cowboys. We were simply spoiled by the phenomenal success that the Landry regime had in the past. Aside from that, many fans are as fickle as can be. It happens . . . go figure.

Is it just me or do some of the most scathing remarks about the Cowboys come from players who failed miserably as a Cowboy? I remember PB was on the roster for a split second and wouldn't be able to tell you if he made even a single play.

Plax is right! It's why many of us are ready to move on and want Dallas to draft another QB. I guarantee you there are a lot more players in the NFL playing right now that would tell you the same thing about Dak. But there is a brotherhood among them and most of them won't talk bad about another player. Just like they don't talk about another man's money but I'd be willing to bet they do behind closed doors.
It wouldn't surprise me if it's not written into a players contract about negative commenting on other NFL players.

I always love when they say things like this. About all of the starting QBs right now (that have not won one will) will not win one. Nearly all of the future draftees won’t either.

I don’t see how they regurgitate this crap non stop about Dak who is in a watered down conference. Whereas guys like Lawrence, Allen won’t win a Super Bowl because of Mahomes.

Its the only argument they still have and can continually argue.

Talented team? Check
Back to back winning seasons? Check
Improvement on last years squad? Check

It’s the old constant internet argument. I see them daily about baseball, hockey, even about USA soccer. Winning championships is what it’s all about, yes. But it’s the same old back against the wall argument anybody can spit out.

But! But! But! They’ll never win a Super Bowl! 10,0000 Days etc etc
If you watched Dak in the San Fran playoff game last year you can see why and it's very clear. He is a mental midget when the lights shine the brightest. Not many QB's ever win a Championship, even really talented ones like Romo.

We haven't gotten out of the 2nd round of the playoffs in nearly 30 years, but that's on the QB right?

Funny how the Rams win with Matthew Stafford once they really put a team around him. The Eagle almost win a Superbowl with Jalen Hurts after the Eagle spent the past few years being a punching bag for the Cowboys. They win won with Carson Wentz on the bench, but Wentz and Foles look amazing that year. Why? Because their FO stuffed the team with talent and went ALL in. Meanwhile we're trading away our best receiver for no reason at all.

it's more like Dak will never win a championship with the Cowboys. This problem has persisted long before he got the reins. Remember how Demarcus Ware was falling off, starting to get 'washed up' before he went to Denver and won a championship? How many Cowboys had to leave to win one? Awuzie almost wins won with the Bengals not long after he leaves. Martellus Bennett wins won with the Patriots. The list goes on.

A shiny, new QB isn't going to fix the FO problem. At a minimum, at least we've FINALLY cleared ourselves of the coaches in training program instituted by Jerry after over 10 years. Now, we STILL have holes that the FO won't address, but will magically become evident during the play-offs when things get tough. We have a question on the O-line and in the run game during a year we're supposed to be a running team and also a question at kicker.

I’m starting to come to the realization that the Cowboys won’t win another SB ever again regardless who’s playing QB……
