rips Jera :

• The Dallas Cowboys
The coaching staff, executives and personnel men are all off-limits at this week’s combine. As in, they aren’t speaking. They won’t say why exactly, but word around the campfire is that owner Jerry Jones told the staff last week that he would be the voice for the franchise this week. And Jones has mostly been a ghost around town this week, which is unusual for an owner who is typically highly visible at the combine. Nothing screams louder about a team’s problems than a universal gag order.

big suprise the media is upset we wont speak to them. didnt see it coming:rolleyes:

this really isnt as big of a deal as their making it. their just upset that now were not giving them anything to report

Not a surprise that there will be speculation, sarcasm, and backlash from the media since they're not getting the answers, or stories, they want.

I can't talk to the highest profile team in the NFL, so that means the sky is falling in Dallas!

If you can't get news from the horses mouth, might as well become the horse and create it!

They'll get just as many stories as they did before. The "leaks" and stories that Jerry is pretending to be so upset about didn't come from Wade Phillips' press conferences.

This isn't about stopping information getting to the media its about Jerry trying to control it, and some dog and pony show that things have "changed."

Don't forget, when things really started to blow up at the end of the season and the Cowboys were highlight news even during the run up to the Super Bowl Jerry reveled in it. He has zero desire to have the Cowboys *less* in the news, he just wants to make sure his image is being portrayed they way he wants it to, and that means controlling the message.

Yahoo is the one that broke the story about the players going to Jerry's house to talk about TO that has been called a lie by Jerry...

No wonder they do that...
