Can't believe Pepper Johnson got in the game and I missed it. I must have gone to the kitchen or something. Did he play DT and can you tell me little more about how he did? If he was in at DT and you thought he looked okay, posibility arises that next year he and Ferguson will be at NT and Glover will be gone? Actually initially Johnson was tagged at both DT/DE but Parcells put him down as depth behind Ferguson/Glover.

He did and I thought he held the point of attack pretty darn well the times I noticed him.

He's got a good motor and a lot of fire, too... Got to like that.

one of the few solid spots in this year. I think Glover will be gone next year.

I saw him blow up Portis on a play and then he jumped up w/ that " Oh Yeah" attitude. Portis just stared at him.

I dont think he knew who he was.

I like the kid. Need to see more of him.

He celebrated too much.

Someone tell the rook that you shut your mouth and walk back to the huddle when the score is 35-0.

Come to think of it, you do that ALL the time.

Yep, he and probably Spears again, that played with any fire yesterday on DL. Our LBs were pretty bad from what I could see.

Spears played ok too. That one stop on the goal line when he drilled Portis was sick (I think it was Portis).

Johnson and Spears appeared to be the only members of the front 7 that actually made plays near or behind the LOS. The rest of the guys were getting blown up and back 5-7 yds beyond the LOS. Their play wont show up in the boxscore but i thought the 2 of them did a decent job.

AdamJT13 probably has the lowdown on how many snaps he played.

I thought he played well. Better than okay, but not great. I actually thought the D-Line was doing it's job, but the LB play was putrid.

He did seem to be ready to talk some trash, but I can forgive that for a guy getting to play in his first game in a hostile environment.

Rich........

That entire goal line stand was great...we actually pushed them back 2 yards on 2 running plays when they started inside the 1...and then we let Cooley, the only fricken guy they ever throw to down there besides Sellars, walk all alone in the end zone for another TD.....grrrrrrrrrrr.

Hope I get to see more of him in next 2 games. If he played even decent in his first NFL game at DT, it is pretty good for an undrafted rookie FA. Sounds like it possible this guy could make an impact on our team next season, possibly even replacing Glover. I was wondering whether we would keep Glover around since he has disappeared in last 4 or so games along with Ellis along with our pass rushing game. Assume Glover & Ellis disappearance due to wearing out playing in the 4-3. Also Glover will cost us $4M+ in cap space next year. Ellis will cost more then $2M+ against the cap next year but he is our leading sacker with 8 and his leadership is needed. On the other hand, we did pick up a DE off the Atlanta PS who does seem to be light as a DE but when queried about whether the guy (think it is something like Junior Glymph, 6-5, 270) would play DE or OLB Parcells told the reporter to just leave it up to him.

I agree, all that celebrating needs to stop. TD is ok, but after a play c'mon!
