Every one hates the Yankees because of their payroll and how much it is compared to other Baseball teams.

I just dont understand the hatred....they all play by the same rules. The Yankees pay a penalty for spending that high. The lower teams that receive that money dont always use that money to get better players...they just pocket it. That is a real shame imho.

I dont watch baseball because how the cap is structured. Big spending teams...have alot better chance of success. Its not a even playing field.

That being said....why complain about it......thats the rules. Accept it...or dont watch it ....its easy to do.

And btw....it doesnt matter what the Yankees pay for each win......they dont care...they make a boatload of money anyways. At least they are spending the money to try to win.

I understand, but as of right now is not the finishing point. As of right now, the Yankees are Eastern Division Champs and have a chance to win the Series. Obviously, that's not guaranteed but if they do, then that 106M is worth every cent. If they don't, then your point is much more valid.

Gotta see what happens till we know I think.

Look at what Bartolo Colon and Freddie Garcia are doing for them and how much did they cost?

Every team in majors had a chance to pickup those guys at a dirt cheap rate and did any of them?– no.

Prop the Yankees for being smart enough to find those inexpensive "gems" that others never see.

Fact remains: When Yankees tried to buy WS. It has really never worked.

They won 4 of 5 mid 90's-00 with alot of homegrown players, casts offs, and other players they brought in that were in twilight of their careers.

I will concede that they pretty much bought 2009 but then so did the Arizona D-Back vs us in 2001.

I think Sam had a case of premature *&^$@)(*&. The true question, will the Sox or Rays get the wildcard. Red Sox are falling fast and Beckett pitched well for 6 innings then was torched. Their bullpen has a few holds in it.
