Yes we sign Everson Griffin and Aldon Smith but Ngakoue is only 25 with 37 sacks the last 3 years and probably could be had for a 2nd and 3rd round pick to the Jags. Yes he is a DE but Smith can play the designated pass rusher and Griffin has also moved inside and played the 3 tech spot.

Since Griffin has the franchise tag of $17 million and we only have $14 million in cap space, a couple of contracts would need to be redone like Lawrence and Martin but just imagine a pass rush of Lawrence, Smith, Griffin and Ngakoue coming at the QB in this heavy passing league. The whole secondary may become sudden ALL-PROS.

I know that Earl is going to be traded or released by Baltimore but again he is 31. Both Smith and Griffin are in their 30s so not only looking at today but long term.

Just a thought.

He’s going to end up an Eagle. They seem to get great deals on players and are always loaded on the defensive line

umm they arent giving this guy away cheap , not happening, theve expressed this many times, Jags are not just tradig him for peanuts, will take kings ransom, they want the guy.go read the stories the issues this player had was with Coughlin, coughlins gone and he has 17mil dollar FT sitting there, team has all the levaerage..

, they will want Mack money and draft stock, they likely end up keepig him and let him go after the season..bid for him then
no they already tied up money in Mccoy, Poe, Griffen and Smith, the cowboys will look to fill other holes..not happening..

Ngakoue is younger than Smith and Griffen so the cost will be much higher. The Jaguars probably want a 1st for him, a 2nd at the very least, and then he's going to command a D-Law sized contract.

I say no. Let's go all-in for the short term, acquire ET, and find our future right d-end in next year's draft instead.

Ngakoue may be heading to the dog pound. Cleveland leads the NFL in projected 2020 cap space.

Pairing Ngakoue with Myles Garrett would instantly give them one of the AFC's top pass rushes. And they're stocked up on 2021 draft picks, owning 10 before the compensatory additions.

If the Cowboys acquire that type of talent, it will likely be at DT.

i do not think the cowboys should be trading away draft picks right now but if they did i would only be ok for a pass rusher like ngakoue.

cowboys should really be hold all their picks though because of salary cap.

Sorry, But I don't trust anyone with more vowels in his last name than consanants.

We're looking good at DE right now. At least in the short term, the cost-benefit would be terrible.

2nd OR 3rd?

If they were willing to take both he would have been gone already.

I'm sure they want a first plus. Dallas cant do that.

wow did not know they had that many picks coming. I knew they accumulated many picks, but thought they had used them all by now. Guess not.
But yeah they can have a terrific defense if that happens. I think they have the players now to be pretty good. As they have been improving.

Jax is like those Asian Baseball teams that demand money to take their best players.

Bigger need for this year by a mile.

Next year we at least have the inside track on ASmith and Griffen. Maybe Randy gets to play next year. Just don't see us in the market for a big ticket DE right now.

There GM has reported saying saying either a 1st or 2nd and 3rd is all he expects.
