Well, the thing you want to look at is yards per pass attempt. A 9.5 YPA would have put him in the top 10 in 2011.

Among corners that played at least 900 snaps last year, 608 yards would have put him 20th out of 41.

If Claiborne allowed 38 yards on 32 pass attempts faced (he was on the field for all of Eli's attempts), that's 1.19 yards per pass attempt that he was on the field. The elite, shutdown-level cornerbacks will allow less than 1.0. An average of 1.19 normally would put him in the top one-fourth for the season.

Are interference and holding penalties factored into this formula, and does any site regularly provide it?
