*Cowboys trade the 24th pick to the 49ers for picks 31 and 94.*

24. San Francisco 49ers (Dallas) - Amarius Mims T Georgia
25. Green Bay Packers - Tyler Guyton T Oklahoma
26. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Laiatu Latu EDGE UCLA
27. Arizona Cardinals (Houston) - Jared Verse EDGE Florida St.
28. Buffalo Bills - Xavier Worthy WR Texas
29. Detroit Lions - Cooper DeJean CB Iowa
30. Baltimore Ravens - Kingsley Suamataia T BYU

31. Dallas Cowboys (San Francisco) - Jordan Morgan T Arizona
The Cowboys figure to be locked in on a tackle following Tyron Smith's departure in free agency, especially if they intend to keep Tyler Smith at left guard. No other team has been more passive in free agency, but after the trade back, the Cowboys can fill holes and build depth through the draft. Morgan can be a starting left tackle, but he also can kick inside to left guard if Dallas ultimately prefers to move Tyler Smith to tackle full time. Morgan would make it eight offensive tackles in Round 1, which would tie the 2008 common draft era record (since 1967), per ESPN Stats & Information.

32. Kansas City Chiefs - Ennis Rakestraw Jr. CB Missouri

2nd Round

41. Green Bay Packers (N.Y. Jets) - Edgerrin Cooper LB Texas A&M
42. Houston Texans (Minnesota) - Jer'Zhan Newton DT Illinois
43. Atlanta Falcons - Kool-Aid McKinstry CB Alabama
44. Washington Maroonskins (Las Vegas) - Patrick Paul T Houston
45. New Orleans Saints (Denver) - Kamari Lassiter CB Georgia
46. Indianapolis Colts - Ladd McConkey WR Georgia
47. New York Giants (Seattle) - Max Melton CB Rutgers
48. Jacksonville Jaguars - Marshawn Kneeland EDGE Western Michigan
49. Cincinnati Bengals - Roger Rosengarten T Washington
50. Philadelphia Eagles (New Orleans) - Payton Wilson LB North Carolina St.
51. Pittsburgh Steelers - Roman Wilson WR Michigan
52. Los Angeles Rams - Braden Fiske DT Florida St.
53. Philadelphia Eagles - Cole Bishop S Utah
54. Cleveland Browns - Trey Benson RB Florida St.
55. Miami Dolphins - Christian Haynes G Connecticut

56. Dallas Cowboys - Jonathon Brooks RB Texas
It feels like a foregone conclusion that the Cowboys will take a back at some point in the draft after losing Tony Pollard this offseason. Brooks probably wouldn't still be available if he had not torn his ACL back in early November, but Dallas is unafraid of taking swings on Day 2. Brooks has excellent vision and balance, and he can be a factor in the passing game.

57. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Cooper Beebe G Kansas St.
58. Green Bay Packers - Jordan Hicks S Washington St.
59. Houston Texans - Malachi Corley WR Western Kentucky
60. Buffalo Bills - Maason Smith DT LSU
61. Detroit Lions - Ja'Lynn Polk WR Washington

Good trade down and still getting Morgan.

At worst, Morgan is a solid LG and Tyler kicks to LT.

Pretty certain guys like Brooks and Tez Walker will be cowboys come draft night.

At 56 it feels like a more of a foregone conclusion they will take Brooks. The Cowboys in round 2 is where "smartest guy in the room" syndrome comes into play.

Agreed.

The more I read and research the more I feel it’s (Guyton, Brooks, Tez Walker and Trevon Wallace)

Vikings would be nuts to trade 3 firsts for a 5th overall.
Could see to move up to #2/grab Daniels.

I think the team likes Trey Benson better and even Ray Davis. I think they are divided on Brooks. Honestly, Id double dip at rb. Benson and Davis. Let the rb room compete.

I like the trade but we could get more than a 3rd round pick from San Francisco. The offensive lineman from 5-8 are not much different from each other so we certainly should trade down but I would rather get a 4th and 5th then just a 3rd round pick.

Passing on Mims, Verse and Latu would
be criminal.

Verse is currently 12th on the consensus big board. Be happy a top talent fell and make the freaking pick.

The Cowboys made a similar move in 2013 trading the 18th overall pick to the 49ers for pick 31 and 74.

That was a 13 spot drop to 31 for 74.

This is a 7 spot drop to 31 for 94.

Seems about fair. I don't care what that abortion of a trade value chart has to say about it. That thing is majorly flawed and was only ever meant to be used as a guide but fans have taken it as gospel.

That's what I noticed right away. No way they can pass on Verse! At least not without much more compensation.

Classic Dallas draft move. Picking an injured college player in the 2nd round. Adding to the long list why this team cant get to a conference finals.

We need a 1T very few in this draft.

I'm a Fiske fan but if we are taking a 3 DeWayne Carter is a guy I'd take over Fiske.
I wouldnt be mad. We just need all hands on deck, whomever we take. The player MUST play from day 1. Zimmer gonna have his plate very full finding guys that he can get ready to play.

Mims is a better prospect at T. Longer arms. Don’t want a potential LT (Morgan) with only 33 inch arms. Mims’ arms are 36. Big difference

Mims has the potential. But he also has only 8 starts in two seasons at RT.

Morgan enters the draft as a three-year starter with 37 career starts and knows how to play LT.

Not advocating either way. Mims potential is through the roof. But you’re likely looking at guy who plays 12-14 games a year
