The Cowboys can cut him and avoid paying his 16.5M salary next season.

They could get a legit for 16.5M per.

No no no. Keep Dez. He just signed a big contract. He's a tremendous player. He's been off a game or two, but you don't get rid of a player going through a dry spell or two. None of his money is guaranteed...... he is a prime candidate for an extension/pay cut

So we cut him, only save $8MM. Likely spend that foolishly on bargain bin players. 2018 comes, Dak stinks because he has no real threat at WR and the same people complaining that we should cut Bryant will be complaining that we don't have any real weapons on offense.

But the really good news is that some can then use that as an excuse for Garrett coming back for the 2019 season. It was unfair that he wasn't given any real passing game weapons!
