Mein main mens. As we put water on the ashes of our victory bonfire, it is time to tweak what ah predicted and pregnosticuted and guessed: the cowboys would half to score a lot of points to win.
And they did. And we won.
And while ah predicted the defensive front would be a disaster, that did not come to pass. The lads up front bent but did not brake.
It was the secondary that seemed thin, and therein lies the damage and the point scored agin us.
Further, I was wrong (wronger than Spike Lee's choice of a career) that the safeties would be the problem. The safeties, in my humble opnion, played tough and were not outmanned. Further, I was wrong about Church. He looks to be a "player." I hope the corners can bounce back and have a better game next time because if they do, this can be a solid defensive team.
Solid, more solid than cable ratings for "Cops," solider than a sandwich with welfare cheese.
I cannot be more happy with the defensive front. They just made me so happy, I actually ate 3 steaks in a 18 hour time span. If the D line can hold and play like this until Spencer and the Rat decide their careers are at stake and come back, we'll be good.
Overall, this was a pleasing (if not at times a boring) game.
Props to Jason/Romo/and that Callahan guy. And props to Kiffie, bless his old heart and his journeymens players who played like Pro Bowlers at times.
