Last night in front of the entire country, the New York Giants showed us Cowboys fans the smoke and mirrors that is our football team.
Our defense? Swiss cheese once again. Our offense? No better than average last night. Week 1 can be ugly, but we took a nose dive off the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.
You should be worried how lost the defense looked, but more importantly, you NEED to be worried about John Harbaugh. However you may feel about Harbaugh, coaches like him bring a different culture of winning to their teams. We all saw the NEW New York Giants last night. Pure smash mouth football they were playing, and finessing the boys in the process at every corner. I am NOT feeling good about Harbaugh after last night. Mostly because, Harbaugh smelled blood in the water, and smelled the scam that was the hyped up Cowboys team, and showed the world the small tree with the big shadow that is my favorite football team.
I grew up and became a Cowboys fan because of my father, and for the past 22 years I have been a fan this is the first time I can ever remember having a bad feeling in my stomach about the next 5 years after 1 game. The level of unpreparedness, confusion, and inability to produce average level numbers on either side of the ball is making me realize the window for our Super Bowl run in the next 5 years is quickly shutting, or has already closed completely.
The first Isaiah Likely touchdown made me shut the TV off, once I saw the flats exposed the way they were and our guys looking like they were chasing phantoms, I knew Christian Parker was no defensive genius. Speaking of phantoms, our defensive line broke down completely. Our rookie linebacker jumped offsides before the Giants even got set. Where are we finding these players?
You don’t see elite teams making these kinds of mistakes. It may have been our first game, but this is the beginning of the crash course ahead for our Dallas Cowboys
