Does Kellen have a great mind - yes. But as a new HC he likely will go to a team with severe talent deficiencies. Kellens playcalling the last 3 years has proven when he doesn’t have all his horses, he’s pretty average at best.
Now that can be said for a lot of OCs/DCs, but when that’s your main calling card and he’s not a great motivator or some other program building part, he’s going to struggle.
Kellens best bet is to wait for McCarthy to step down or be removed. If he goes to the Bears or Texans, he’ll be out of a job in 3 years.
