Many have questioned the intelligence of LB Jaylon Smith when it comes to on field schemes and knowing where to be on various plays and learning defensive game plans......and this certainly does not help:

When a reporter asked Jaylon Smith about the impact of the Cowboys-49ers game having been flexed from 4PM to 1PM for the Giants-Browns game, Smith replied with:

"Honestly, I didn't know until now." and followed it up with "If you think I'm lying, ask my lady. Ask my peoples. I don't focus on what's happening in the future. I be embracing each moment, each day."


Sorry but aside from the grammar how the hell does this guy not know of the game time change 8 days after the game time was changed????? Sorry but this just goes to solidify what people have already said about Jaylon Smith: he is friggin' clueless.

Everytime I hear Jaylon speak he's articulate and not lazy with his words. I don't care for him much anymore, but its just odd if he was talking like that in the quotes.

Players in the league really don't look at the schedule like we fans do. They literally only find out the time of the next game, once the last game ends. So it's very plausible that he didn't know this game was a Sunday night game and was flexed out. That being said, I do cringe whenever I hear him speak because most likely he will say something stupid as he has many times already.

I think we're all approaching that point of where we have found the dead horse. Please don't pick up the stick and start beating it.

We all know he's played below average this year. LVE and Sean Lee are both right there as well.

I will say that there's no way our LB corps goes from being one of the best in the league to one of the worst in a matter of a couple seasons. Either the team ruined these guys, they're chronically injured, or the coaching staff isn't using them properly.

Questioning a players play is reasonable
And Jaylon deserves criticism for his play
Questioning his grammar or what he reads in his own time is kinda out of bounds to me

Not even close in my opinion. At least the Cowboys could cut him after this season and save $400K.

Not so with Zeke or Lawrence. Stuck with these two overpaid underperformers for at least another year or two. They cost much more also. I know Zeke held out. Not sure if Lawrence held out or threatened to hold out. Beware of those holding out. Yeah, I know Emmitt missed two games without a contract.
