Yobwocs' ranking of difficulty of beating remaining teams

We clearly outclassed the Raiders with our new players on defense. We actually looked like we were coached on defense again.

It WAS the Raiders, so was that improvement a function of playing against an abysmal team or are we improved? I would say both.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that this defense will, barring injury, get better each week and end up being MUCH better and a team strength.

We put ourselves in a pretty good hole here, but I think if we run the table our chances of getting in the playoffs would be very high. Might still get in with one loss.

I’m not predicting that we will run the table but I will say that this team HAS to feel REALLY invigorated by having such an influx of talent at mid season. It’s like trading for 6 new starters on defense.

The Lions if they didn't have so much speed on offense i'd give us a chance ONLY because their coach gambles far too often

Eagles if we can stop their offense we can possibly stay in the game, I don't see Dak having a clean pocket all game with Phillips and the other guys on the DL
I would feel better, not good mind you, but better about the Lions game were it at home.

Dallas has to win two of the next three to even have a chance. Luckily, Minn and LA is at home(and they are struggling) with teams checking out at the end in Wash and NY.

Dallas won’t win up in Detroit, let that one go. Beating Philthy and KC is a must if you have postseason aspirations. Dallas has a favorable home schedule but can they take advantage of it?

I still think @WillieBeamen prediction is most likely. We beat the Eagles, us fans are all stoked about our playoff shots now, and then they blow all those games against winning teams that follow. Just seems to be the Cowboys Ways in recent years.

Lions - L
Chiefs - W
Chargers - W
Eagles - W
Minn - W
NY - W
Wash - W

10-6-1 is what it'll likely take to make the playoffs.

Bears/Lions/Rams/Eagles - will all be in the playoffs
49ers will reach 10 wins min
Seattle with reach 10 wins
Packers likely will reach 10 wins but schedule isn't easy (if they split between Vikings and Bears - they might not get there)

Carolina schedule about to get pretty difficult. I see them falling off and will finish with 9 wins

It's something how we are conceding losses to the Chiefs and Lions when they have 5 and 4 losses respectively. If Dallas beat the Packers instead of tying them they would have the same record as KC and be only one game worse than Detroit.

and if the offense would have put up a better average points (20.4) in their 5 losses.... blah. blah..... Homers unite, Super Bowl, get you gear, just bring back Garrett and this crap would be perfect.

Gotta look at the games individually. Offense wasn't the issue against the Panthers and Eagles. It was the defense against Dowdle, and CD's dropped passes.

Against the Bears, the defense let the game go out of hand. At 14-14 they failed to make any improvements. The game was over and the offense just called it a day, and with CD injured. That was also the 3rd game of the year.

Against the Broncos, if you thought the result would've been any different you obviously aren't watching much football this year. Plus the defense gave up 27 points in the first half.

Against the Cardinals.... the offense was the problem. No saying otherwise on that.

Easiest to hardest:

(Gotta go 5-2 to have even a chance. Maybe that might not even be enough)

1. Commanders - They seem awful. Should be a win especially with how fractured they're likely to be at that point.

2. Giants - They can be a grind (they have been all year).... they're one of the most confusing teams. But they're 2-9..... you gotta beat them. And Dart is gonna give us some freebies and bad throws. Gotta expect he's gonna do more of that than Dak will. (being the veteran he is)

3. Vikings - Usually we own them.... but they're not terrible. They might actually be better off with Wentz than McCarthy, but I don't know what they're doing. Are they giving up this year for the future development of McCarthy? But good news is they look like they're about to get into real regression with those division opponents coming up.

4. Lions - I'd actually have the Lions easier than the Chargers (not by much) just because they seem like they go high to low. High against the middling-to-bad teams. Low against probably the best 3 teams they've faced. (Eagles, Packers, Chiefs) Still Goff is excellent with a pocket to throw but awful with pressure. Confident in us winning if we generate a good amount of pressure. But will we? Think the pressure is all on the Defensive Line this game. It's newly minted.... and some people here are saying they're really good. Or was that just the Raiders?

5. Chargers - Again, usually we beat the Chargers..... tho it's not by much. Expecting them to give a great fight. Could easily be a loss tho. Not saying they'll be easy. But they've given up 37 sacks this year... we've given up 16. D-Line has to own this game against one of the worst O-Lines in the league. Again, pressure definitely should be all on the Defensive Line this game.

6. Eagles - They're definitely better than we are, but who really knows. They gave up a lot of yards to Wentz who probably could've (and should've) won if he didn't throw a pick 6 to a guy he didn't see in the middle (probably blocked from his view). Jaxson Dart didn't look bad against them. Stafford look like he had them dead to right. Dak the first game.... a tight game. Nix even had his scabs against them. Not saying we're gonna win, but they've been lucky 4 times this year and won all their close games.

7. Chiefs - I've conceded this loss. I don't think we're winning no matter what week we play them.... especially coming off the short week feels impossible. Bad matchup.... hard hitting team, a veteran coach against a newbie. Game over. I won't shine any ray of light on this one. Other 6? It's possible.... just not favoring us against each and every one in succession.
Have to go 6-1 to be sure to make the playoffs.

If we make the playoffs , it would most likely be by kicking the Packers out of the playoffs.

How funny would that be?

The only tie bracker we need to win is with GB.

Cowboys probably won’t win another game for over a month.

Enjoy this win over the 2-8 Raiders for a long as you can, bros.
I pencilled in 2 more wins (giants, skins) after the trade, but now I gotta bump it up to 3 with this W over the Raiders. That being said, I wouldn't be shocked if we beat or lose to any of the remaining teams.
