Many were saying it was super bowl or bust for Garrett. Some pointed to the lack of a contract for the lame duck Garrett. I never believed that for one second. Garrett is like family to Jerry and Co. So all of the “accountability” implications by ownership, I never really bought into or believed.

Now things are not looking good. We have played VERY poorly the last three weeks. It’s not the losses so much as how we have lost. We get a vote of confidence from Stephen and Co. I don’t believe that either.

For the first time this year, Garrett really IS on the hot seat. In fact it’s probably the first time in his tenure that he has actually been on the hot seat.

I think a win silences the growing uneasiness in the organization. Not only for this week, but gives the team longer term patience with Garrett. But if the Cowboys lose this week, seriously, all he’ll could break loose.

It’s not just the losses. It’s the media pounding the team. It’s past players pounding the team and it’s the first glimpse, EVER, that Garrett is starting to lose the current team.

It’s not at the point of no return for Garrett, but circumstances are starting to tug on the first thread of Garrett’s sweater and things could really start coming unwound with a loss.

You rarely can believe what ownership says. Thats not the case with this team. Theyre transparent to a fault sometimes. Probably the last honest franchise in sports. They will tell you what theyre going to do, Its just up to you to believe it instead of thinking theyre blowing smoke and you end up being suprised when all along they had told you months before what was going to happen.

I understand and i am the same: Its great to read all this hype before the season. Gives a great feeling and wants you to watch and follow your team. But in the end always stay on the ground. Keep it real.
