The Front office tried to get cute (and cheap) at the most important position in sports. Their refusal to invest draft capital at QB is mind boggling.

And consider this. $20 million in dead money this season. Plus roughly $15 million we are currently under the cap. That’s $35 million not being put on the field. What a joke.

Right now we are the worst franchise in the league. Let that soak in. At least some other bottom feeders have potential franchise QB’s on the roster. We have Mike White.

Dead cap is at 29.7 million.

Cap space is at 12.12 million.

It's closer to 42 million not being used on the current roster, and it shows.

I could understand them not willing to draft a QB high after Dak had the tale of two halves in 2017. But I think it's becoming clear that he isn't that franchise, put it all on his back type of QB.

It’s insane. It’s like a quarter of the entire cap being flushed down the toilet.

I just got done texting a buddy. I feel bad for young fans like my son who don’t know how great this franchise was at one time. Agree with you 100% this organization is nothing but embarrassing.

Can also see how well dumpster diving at WR did.
And all that hype about Sanjay Lal coming in and making everyone excellent route runners.

Dak is struggling but he has zero receivers that can elevate their play. Purely a bunch of weak 2's and 3's.

...but the menu at the stadium is now International to choose from. And one can also find a Victorian Secret something...

WR's can run the greatest routes and get open but if the QB has accuracy problems and can not hit them or see them in his reads doesn't make any difference. Dak is just stinking it out. He is what he is, just read his draft profile.

What is William's contract and why hasn't the defensive end position retained Lawrence for the immediate future?

Maybe next season the team will sign a veteran safety, and really upgrade recognition abilities. A fan won't follow potential but for so long...

Terrance Williams?

If suspended, all guarantees go void. So if cut next year we save 4.75 million. If not suspended cut pre June first nets us 2.25mil or post june first nets us 3.5mil in savings.

The way Dallas currently red tag shops, that is equal to two borderline additions to the roster...right?

And thanks for adding the info on Williams. He's definitely making a major contribution (sarcasm) and why Dallas couldn't sign Thomas and retain Lawrence long termed yet...or do the Cowboys strictly play a present game of musical chairs looking ahead?

I’m so tired of the Dak defenders. WR’s are open and Dak is missing them. Rewatch the gd games.

I think they'll get Tank locked up long term.
They have too many unknowns/undependable guys to let Law walk. I hope anyways.

They will defend him to no end.....even if we go 1-15 and are pretty much what we are today LAST in passing they will blame everything even the weather why Dak can't move the ball ......

I'm not defending him. Just saying WRs suck too and that the hype on Sanjay here was ridiculous.
Other threads I call him (Dak) part of the problem on offense.

So, to you who can't STAND Dap , it's all his fault again... good to know. I mean I'd hate to point out the o-line sucks and couldn't block a 90 year old woman on passing downs, but hey Dak's the only problem here, can his butt and the team will start improving....I 100% agree.... lets bench him and put in our other star QB... oh wait. Like most who simply hate Dak Prescott, you can't see the forest through the trees, Dak is only a small portion of what is wrong with this deficient bunch of gutless wonders.

Understatement of the year and there's proof. Two statements I notice after Brice Butler was resigned last week.

* He said FO actually contacted him after the Panthers game. Clearly an admission this group needed additional help after the FIRST game of the season.
* Dak in welcoming Butler talked about his comfort level with him while admitting he and some of the receivers still have a long way to go. Translate: other than Beasley and maybe Thompson, he doesn't trust the rest of his receivers.

BTW....can you name ONE of our WRs that could likely be #1 or even #2 on another team? Not sure I can.......

This is 100% true. It even goes back to the pre Romo days.

How many years did we suffer while they tried using failed baseball players?

Truth is, they got lucky as can be with Romo. Haven’t drafted a QB in the first round since when? 28 years ago or whatever.

Dude you’re an idiot if you think I waste time hating any football player. The evidence is abundant that Dak can’t play. If you think otherwise, you’re not very observant or you have an agenda. I’d love for Dak to be the next great QB but he isn’t, he actually sucks.

This is true. I want Dak to succeed as much as anyone probably.

But I want the cowboys to win. If Dak can’t do it. Then it is what it is. Gotta find a QB who can.

DUDE, well I'm not an idiot, nor am I a blind fool.... now which is it for you? Read my post, I was at one time a supporter, but watching this guy his last 10 or so games I'll give you he is "part" of the problem.... but I'm just not that much of a simpleton to go throwing it all on his shoulders.
