this is digusting we are in 1st place and lost to a good team on the road. Nothing has changed from last week. If the cowboys win they win the NFC east. If the eagles and Commanders lose we win the NFC east. Every team has let down games. The pats , chiefs, rams and we beat the Saints recently. You guys are complaining ? We were 3-5 and dead!!!! Give this team credit for being in this position.

For those of you constantly crying about Dak you guys are ridiculous. The guy hasn’t had a losing season yet despite all his flaws. Heck in philly there are serious questions if Wentz is the guy. He looks fragile and soft and he’s going to have a ton of pressure on him going into next season if Foles has success again. Look at how horrible Goff has looked the last two games. 1 TD and 7 Ints.

Stop crying about the Colts game. It’s time to shut up beat the Bucs rest up and get ready for Seattle.
 
People are troubled over the fact that this team rolled over against another playoff calibre team. Losing 23-20 is one thing. This team crawled into a corner and started sucking their thumbs when challenged.

That's problematic when you are going the playoffs.

My expectations for this season weren't changed a bit yesterday. I figured division title and knocked out of the playoffs was the ceiling, and it's still in reach.

Now if you were dreaming of a magical playoff run based on the 13-10 upset of New Orleans, yesterday probably knocked you for a loop.

This is why I been trying to not be critical of anything. See how they respond against TB.
I may throw in a jab here and there. But it is about the entire organization. A few criticisms but also the truth without being derogatory. But also will throw in some props where needed also..

No one will remember this useless game after we beat Tampa Bay. It’s one game. Did you see Brady sucking his thumb yesterday throwing into triple coverage all game ?
 
Optimistic post for a pessimist. ;)

I think the average fans wants it his/her way all the time. Unrealistic expectations.

I was counting on a letdown. I did't even watch the game. I had other things to do so I recorded it.

I didn't feel up for the game so why would I expect the Cowboys to be up for it? I expect them to play better against the Pooter Pirates, as Peat-man for too likes to call them.

I agree with everything you just said. This game was likely an aberration. The emotional let down was ineveitable.

What bothers me is the continuing trend of lack of pocket awareness by Dak, the slow decision making process Dak has at times, OL injuries and offensive play calling. The red zone issues are a lingering issue that we need to get fixed by the time the playoffs start.

Let's be serious, the colts are not a damn powerhouse. This was more about dallas laying down than anything. Luck nearly cracked 200 yard and it was probably his worse game during most of these wins.

If Dallas even gets half way up for this game they win, even with the refs BS.

What will we remember after this season? Something different than the past 20 years?
 
Dallas played like they knew it was a meaningless game, which it was. We still control our own destiny. We were unlikely to take the 3 seed from Chicago anyway. I saw a team that was playing like it already had a playoff spot locked up and another team still fighting for their playoff lives. I still see big flaws with this team (Dak's pocket presence, lack of red zone offense, crappy play calling), but this team is good enough to go on another run.

The Patriots lost to the Lions and Jaguars in consecutive weeks. The Colts got shut out by Jacksonville two weeks ago.

People here overreact to one game.

Cowboys beat New Orleans: We're going to the Super Bowl!

Cowboys lose to Colts: We're going 8-8!

Both are overreactions.

Jerry would be wise to rebuild the Great Wall of Dallas if he wishes to re-sign Prescott to another contract. No line = subpar QB play with Dak.

I’ll definitely remember sweeping the Eagles and beating the Saints. And I remember every playoff game win or lose. I do know that if you make the playoffs you have a chance at winning it all.
