I'm nervous as hell about the game Saturday. I don't see how some of you are so 100% on this thing. It feels like the '07 playoffs against the Giants. Guaranteed win.

I have confidence in this team more than I have in recent memory, but nothing is guaranteed.

The Cowboys will still have to play football Saturday night to win.

I'm freaking out over here....I'm losing my mind. I was talking to a friend and I told him I just want Saturday to come. Win or lose I just want to see my team already. A loss would shatter my week, maybe month but a win? You dont even know how happy I would be. Finally 13 years of playoff losses are over.

Just win :star:

Um well obviously they will have to play football to win. If you are confident in the team then don't sweat it.

A lot of us I believe to be 100% because we just whooped the eagles ***. And for the record no layoff this time(like the giants loss) and generally well... things just seem a little different. If we do lose at least and i'm talking absolute bare minimum this team seems to have a grasp on where it needs to go the next 3-4 years. No confusing melodrama and lack of identity.

If for some insane reason we do lose I will feel a lot better about moving forward than with the super bowl or bust 07' squad.

It feels like the early 90's. Not a question of winning, just by how much.

Damn good defense. Revitalized running game. Great TE. Big play and chain moving WR's. Good QB you can depend on to make any throw on the tree. Shut down cornerbacks. Good to very good play by the safeties. Monster OLB's who can harass a QB into sucking his thumb in the fetal position in shotgun.

Some of these things the dynasty teams of the 90's had. All of these things the team of 2009 has.

Think about it this way.

If you were in the Eagles' position, would you feel confident about this game? Basically, if the Eagles beat us 24-0 last Sunday, and held the ball for 40 minutes, would you be confident going into Saturday? I know I wouldn't.

If I was an Eagles fan I'd think my team has absolutely no chance Saturday. I think most objective observers would agree too.

I'm sort of the same way, I think the recent success has made some a little cocky. But we're the fans, just like some of us are weary of the game, there will be those that think we're going to plain lose and those that think it'll be a cake walk.

I think the team has the right amount of swagger right now. The only ones you've really heard from are Jenkins, who has shown all year that he's brimming with confidence on the field so I'm not surprised he's talking a little bit and Crayton, who always talks. So nothing crazy there.

I don't think it'll be another shut out, but I think if a team is likely to win, it might as well be us. We've bucked all the other trends this year.

I want the Cowboys to win in the worst way. And if they focus and do not take the Eagles lightly, I think they can.

Andy Reid is the co-best coach in the league w/ Belichick, IMHO, but even he may not be able to overcome all the injuries they have had. My biggest worry is TNew, because he seems to make so little effort when critical plays come his way.

If the Cowboys play well Saturday and win, I will be happy and call it a successful season. It will be enough for me, and I have not been very optimistic about this organization for a long time.

I'd like to see us take advantage of our unusually good health and make a SB run, but I also think iit is wise to take it one step at a time.

Here's hoping that Romo the Cowboys really are over the hump, but seeing is believing...

Who's said that they DIDN'T have to play it? They owned Philly...TWICE. This is a truly different team. That's why people are so confident. There is no bravado with the team like when you're talking about with the Giants. Relax and enjoy the ride.

I'm with you. The Eagles are still a top team. They went 11-5 just like we did -- it just so happens that we were two of those losses. But they'd still won six in a row before playing us, and they can beat anyone.

Now saying that... I make myself feel better by remembering they didn't beat a playoff team all year, and they have a lot of injuries in the O-line. And we should be able to take advantage of that plus Old Man Trotter and young guys like Macho Harris, who I thought was supposed to be a big deal but in reality looks absolutely horrible out there.

The thing is, even if we are better, upsets happen every week in the NFL. And the fallout from losing to this particular team would be even worse than it usually is. I don't even want to think about it. :(

Just don't turn the ball over. They are a boom or bust big play offense and defense.. kind of an all or nothing team. Play disciplined and the matchup simply works in our favor. It's our house, it's our time.

I'm confident because of the defense, plain and simple. They're playing lights out and they can keep playing lights out. Philadelphia just matches up poorly against this year's Cowboys.

This is the part that scares the hell out of me. I get tired of reading posts from fans who are afraid of the big bad Eagles, but at the same time, I know that a loss on Sunday would be devastating. I suspect those particular fans are just preparing themselves for that possibility.

You got that right, the next year is going to be so miserable having to hear about choking to the Eagles and how Romo & co can't win a playoff game. It will be awful!!

The Eagles have churned their roster, their injured, they've lost their great defensive coordinator, key leaders on the field with lots of experience like Dawkins and Runyan. We should win this game. We are currently a better team, but if we lose, this gives a younger team the confidence to continue to dominate the Cowboys for god knows how long.

Winning 3 in a row against the Eagles and especially knocking them out of the playoffs would be great retrubution for the 44-6 loss last year and who knows where it could catapult us as a team this year and in the future.

In my opinion, this win or loss could severely impact the near future of this team.

I am extremely emotionally invested in this game and I don't even want to think about the fallout if we lose because it will be hell.

Alright, how about some analysis to calm your nerves...

1. The Eagles have scored a grand total of 1 touchdown against the Cowboys this year.

2. The Eagles have experienced some injury issues this season and have been shuffling LBs all over the place trying to get things right.

3. How can you be expected to have much success against Dallas when you're offense is so one-dimensional when you fall behind early? The Eagles ran the ball a paltry 8 times last week for 29 yards. In the words of Deion Sanders "Are you kidding me?"

4. The Eagles corners are nothing special, and both are susceptible to double moves. 1st game: Cowboys - 307 yards in receptions, 1 TD. 2nd game: 311 yards, 2 TDs. Expect the same Saturday night.

5. I honestly believe that the Cowboys offensive and defensive lines are superior to their Eagles counterparts, and you'll see evidence of this again tomorrow night.

6. You've seen how Romo is playing the last 3 games. No December swoon, no choke. I think his performance has given him the confidence he can get the job done when it counts. I think tomorrow night's game is just another game in his mind.

7. DeSean Jackson: 5 catches, 76 yards this year against the Cowboys, no TDs.

8. Jeremy Maclin: 6 catches, 91 yards, no TDs.

9. McNabb in two games against the Cowboys this year: 6.18 yards per attempt. Romo in two games against the Eagles this year: 9.08 yards per attempt. 9.08! And it's not like one game was great and the other was so-so for Romo. He had the same number of attempts in both games for virtually the same amount of yards. Why should I expect things to be different tomorrow night?

If the Cowboys have a relatively mistake free game, they will win. I have no doubts about that at all.

I am not more any confident now than I was on Saturday, or Sunday, or Monday, Tuesday, etc. Which is borderline insanity.

I have been a wreck since the win last week and it is really stupid for me to be. LOL, I am not playing. It's just a game. How much does it really affect me if they do lose?

Obviously a hell of a lot. LOL. Cause, here it is Friday and I can't think of anything but the game tomorrow night. PRAYING that the Dallas Cowboys of the last 3 wks shows up and not those "other" Cowboys.
