When we win, some want to go ahead and hand us the SB trophy. When we lose, parcells needs to be fired, the team sucks, we won't win another game,, what a bunch of crap. Bottom line is this, we played a very good football team today and we didnt get the job done. We had our chances and the PLAYERS didn't execute, period. You can blame the kicker if you want, that's the easy way out. Bledsoe made mistakes all over the field today, why not blame him? Rob P had his worst game, which we should have known was coming, he is a rookie,, and things are bound to happen. Why not Glenn for his PI call on the td drive at the end of the game? why not whitten for dropping a pass that could have set up another score earlier in the game? The point is, this was a complete team loss. No one is anymore to blame than anyone else. Just suck it up it move on. Beat the Cards next week,, and we are 5-3 at the break, and in good shape to make the playoffs. I did think that tucker and MB played rather well though which is very encouraging. Not perfect, but good.

People are upset because we lose games we should win when we're clearly the better team. Makes perfect sense to me. If you don't agree that's your perogative, but there's no rule against venting frustration.

i agree.. but this was a game we shouldve won. we have the right to be pissed because this is something that has been reacurring. we're better than 4-3. we've given up three heartbreakers.. seattle, washington, oakland.. and almost gave it up to san fran, sd, and ny. we're a better team than how we play. its dissappointing to see our defense play so hard and then give up a td at the end of the game. we're a strong team and definitely play-off contenders and it hurts to watch us lose games we shouldve won.

If we weren't like this, this board would have 10 messages total.

What do you think messageboards are for? It's a place where we can voice our opinions and get things off our chest.

I understand all that is being said, but its the same thing after each loss. Fire the coaches. Players play the game, they didn't execute. Can the coaches make bledsoe throw the pass to whitten in the endzone? Can the coaches get cortez to kick a fg, even if everything don't go perfectly? I agree its very frustrating to watch these games. It tears me apart. But i realize we have a young team, esp on D that don't know how to close a game yet. They will get it. But to blame every loss on the play calling, the coaches etc is lame. Players didn't execute, period. That's why we loss the game today.

i think everyones like that because we're ready to get back to the top, or atleast i am. im tired of rebuilding seasons. i want to get the job done. whos knows how much longer we're gonna have parcells. i think we have the talent and the coaching staff here right now and i think we can do big things.

What sucks is Seattle's offense won't play a worse game all year and they still found a way (Bledsoe) to win.

Three game killing drives. Were these the players' fault (aside from the fumble and Bledsoe not making the on the run throw to Witten in the endzone)? The plays were executed, they just weren't enough. I understand the players have to execute, but they also need to be put in a position to succeed. Purcells should know this better than anyone. Bledsoe can't convert every third down when teams can see what's coming every time. We're not the Steelers or the Falcons, running three times in a row with a 4 point lead isn't smart. Bledsoe can sneak for 1 yard.

On the first drive you showed we needed 3 yards in 2 downs couldn't get it yes thats the players fault

Second Drive had 3rd and 13 what did you expect? Holmgren did the same thing on like 3rd and 14. You don't just sling the ball around every long down and distance.

third drive. Busted play Bledsoe did what he could it wasn't enough. What if the sneak fails? then we give them the ball and lose anyway because their TD put them 3

None of the were the fault of anyone except poor execution

Well the first drive , 1st down, we get 7 yds on a run. The object here is to win the game, so u have 2 downs to get 3. If we run and get it, more time comes off the clock, if you pass and its imcomplete, no time comes off the clock. I agree with the play calling and yes the players didn't execute. If you can't get 1.5 yds on every carry, that's the OL not blocking.

The second series was the botched flee flicker. They were attempting to open up the offensive, thing didn't go right. The third down play was a draw. I like that call, MB was one block away from getting the first. Decent execution, but a good call. It just didn't work out, hats off to the seattle D.

The third series was the option play where Drew b made a bad decision. It was executed pretty well, by everyone but drew B. Personally i would have ran it on 2nd down, instead of 3rd. But that is the only bad play call i see in the whole thing u posted. And it still rest with execution and Drew B messed up.

You don't play to run clock with a 4 point lead. We will just have to agree to disagree on that. Running 3 times in a row is playing to run clock.

I don't think the second series was a botched flea flicker, it was just a bobbled toss. Unless you're talking about the botched HB Pass by Barber which was on a touchdown drive:

3-1-SEA 18 (3:39) 24-M.Barber left tackle to SEA 17 for 1 yard (55-J.Sharper, 91-C.Darby). Official measurement. R5
1-10-SEA 17 (3:05) 24-M.Barber sacked at SEA 20 for -3 yards (90-M.Tubbs). Attempted RB pass
2-13-SEA 20 (2:21) 24-M.Barber left tackle to SEA 7 for 13 yards (54-D.Lewis). Official measurement. R6
1-7-SEA 7 (1:46) 24-M.Barber left guard to SEA 5 for 2 yards (90-M.Tubbs).
2-5-SEA 5 (1:03) 11-D.Bledsoe pass to 19-K.Johnson for 5 yards, TOUCHDOWN. P7
2-J.Cortez extra point is GOOD, Center-91-L.Ladouceur, Holder-9-T.Romo.
DAL 7 SEA 0, 10 plays, 74 yards, 4:29 drive, 13:57 elapsed

On the second drive, they shoulda just kept passing after the 16 yard completion on first down. Exploit what works until they stop it.

2-8-SEA 41 (5:25) 24-M.Barber FUMBLES (Aborted) at SEA 46,

That was the fumbled flee flicker setting up the 3-13 play where we ran the draw.

Now i still say,, if we can't get 3 yds running the ball on 2 plays, that is poor execution by the players and not bad play calling by the coach. And lets just be honest, when Drew b did pass, he wasn't that sharp anyway today. If the players execute, get those 3 yds, get the first, then we take another 3-4 min off the clock. That last drive never happens. When u are playing a tough oppt on the road, and u have a lead,, no matter how big it is, u think about the clock the whole 4th quarter. It wasn't bad coaching, or play calling that cost us the game, it was players not making plays, PERIOD.

The guys name is WITTEN.

I understand your frustration for sure. Big win or loss for the Commanders and I take a break from the boards. There are so many people that come out of the woodwork and so many flip-flop artists that it is disgusting to see.

Pot calling the kettle black here!
Didn't we bust you up this week in a thread where you were caught flip flopping? Then you tried to twist it and make it sound like you meant something completely different than what was said.
Come on man, really. People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
